"First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). "Lovely house, everything you needed was there. Great base for exploring the area. There was work being done on a new station but it didn’t influence our sleep or anything. Son was very excited about the trains passing by. Beach a short drive away or a walk. Great chip shop/ cafe and shop at the beachfront nearby. Host very helpful, we would recommend to friends. Beautiful decor, plenty of space and great for a family stay."

"Dove Cottage was a great find. Was looking for dog friendly accommodation close by to Druridge Bay for a race that weekend and this was perfect. Plenty of parking, next to The Railway Inn pub, lovely camping site and the cottage was lovely. Very spacious, nicely decorated and the facilities that were provided were much more than expected. "Fantastic little cottage in Amble. Feels very homely and welcoming. Fantastic location. The welcome gifts were a nice little touch. The only draw back is parking. On busier days it wasn't always possible to park directly by the house but it wasn't a major issue."
