"Really enjoyed the stay, the yurt was great and the spa sort of expensive but at the same time where else gives you full ownership of a spa for 3 hours? Not many places so for that I would say it was worth it. Very clean shower facilities were great. "We did not receive the check-in details via e-mail so could not check in and ultimately not stay overnight. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. "This is a charming property and could not be better placed in terms of access to the castle and cathedral. The check-in lady was so kind and helpful so one could not ask for more there. The only criticism I have was that there is no soap or shampoo provided in the bathroom. This makes rather a dull shower unless prewarned. "There had been a problem with the main entry door on arrival so the cleaner was still sorting the apartment when we arrived at 6.30pm. We went straight out for dinner so were pleased to be able to leave our belongings. The apartment was spotlessly clean and right in the centre of town so conveninent for the shops and bars. "Acceptable cleanliness and just a short walk to the city centre. We are not usually complainers but honestly, there was very poor communication and availability from the staff, an absolutely atrocious mattress on the bed, we barely slept; every little movement sounded like popcorn popping in a microwave and no staff in sight at checkout. A small communal kitchen, but out-of-date milk in the fridge. The shared bathroom allows no privacy as it is off the communal lounge. Would not stay here...

Fantastic customer service!!

"Great customer service especially from the lady checking me in and the lady serving at the bar/restaurant. Both were very friendly, professional and helpful. The check was fast and the service at the bar/restaurant was excellent. The food was really nice as well. The room was large and comfortable but just a little bit noisy. I had a fantastic view of the racecourse. The hotel is in a great condition with a good car park and great location."

"My husband and I spent one night here on a stopover and it was a very nice, clean hotel. We didn’t go into the restaurant or bar at all because the area was so beautiful and easily walkable we went to see as much as we could while there. We were there in January so the hotel was very quiet, but even so there is ample parking. There is no front desk staff at night and we did have to wait outside for a little while to be let into the building after our evening out I’m not sure if it was because of the season or if it’s the norm. My only real complaint was the room was cool and it only had mediocre hot water. All in all very nice, and would recommend. "
