On the threshold of Schroon Lake and among the luscious green scenery lies this amazing vacation home for you and your loved ones! Private, historic, and spacious, there's no better place to gather and get away from it all. Play all day on the lake by paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and every other waterfront activity you can think of. Take the short drive into town to find local eateries, arts, entertainment, and an array of family-friendly attractions.

Inside you'll find a bright interior with a warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and unique with the large fireplaces throughout! Enjoy a movie night on the large TV, or prepare grand meals and on-the-go snacks in the full kitchen, complete with a floating island breakfast bar. Chalk up some friendly competition in the game room on the pool table, enjoying 180-degree views of the trees. With five bedrooms, there's plenty of room for everyone. The bathrooms have been updated and have spacious and beautifully tiled walk-in showers, perfect for washing off the campfire.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Schroon Lake House
The House had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, kitchen appliances are new, bathrooms have been recently renovated. The weather was rainy during our stay or we would have spent time on the patio. One thing to note is that one of the queen bedded rooms is in an adjacent carriage house that’s connected by the outdoor patio and is not in the main house itself.

Great house but not lake friendly
We loved the house, especially , the kitchen. It was very roomy with most everything you would need. Nice washer and dryer with plenty of towels. Can't complain about the house, other than construction debris on the porch. As far as the lake, it was not easy to get to, especially for older people. it was a very steep downhill and uphill walk. There is no beach, you can only jump off the dock to swim. With that being said, I don't think it would work for small children either. We did rent a boat which made it nicer. Maybe consider a golf cart for the property. Our stay was unusual because there was a storm and we lost power for most of the week. That would have been ok, except the maintenance man said the "grill didn't work, it needed a part". The firepit was a mess from construction debris, so that was hard to use. We finally had to go pretty far to find a town with electricity, to buy ice, ice chest, and a grill. Needless to say we could never get the charcoal to get hot enough because of rain. Finally, I decided to fix the gas grill myself. We needed to cook almost $300 worth of meat to keep it from going bad. I only had to change the tank, There was nothing wrong with it other then needing to be cleaned. That really made us mad. I understand that the power outage was no fault of the owner. However, if the maintenance guy had of just said it was dirty we could have saved a lot of headaches. I also feel a generator could be a helpful addition to the property.

Large, comfy house
We loved this home for a family reunion- lots of dinners on the grill, teens playing pool, board games on the gorgeous table. Vacasa provided everything to make it a seamless vacation, and promptly repaired a small issue at the house.

Spacious and comfortable
This house comfortably slept 5 adults and 5 kids. Check in was easy and the house was very clean. The bathrooms are brand new. There is a suite off the garage with air conditioning that is nice quiet separation from the main house. Figuring out lake and dock access was a little tricky - but this house does have lake rights (both to a boat slip and small beach area). Great stay - thank you!

Gorgeous Lakeside Home
Five Chimneys is the perfect spot for friends and family to gather! There were tons of rooms and plentiful space for a big family to stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were beautifully re-done. Our favorite part was the incredible backyard with glimpses of the lake peeking out. The back porch had tons of Adirondack chairs and other seating making it our favorite place to hang out. The yard was very well kept and had room for yard games. Lake and dock access was a great bonus too!
