"The hotel was very clean and comfortable the door codes are a good idea but can be a bit tricky when you are loaded down with luggage. It is the first hotel we have stayed at with no reception or any evidence of someone being there in case of emergency but it seems to work ok. DIY breakfast was also new to us but once we had found the kitchen which was spotless everything fell into place. A couple of minor moans would be some extra bedding would have been useful as the duvet was rather thin. The...

"What an amazing place to stay reasonable priced and the owner made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. I cannot recommend this place enough it was clean tidy fresh the breakfast was amazing. The bed was wow I’ve not slept so well in years and my partner Thought it was just perfect too. "Fabulous value for the size of room.We have stayed here many times when visiting family in Retford. Our room this time was a little disappointing compared to all the other rooms we stayed in.The bed was a double but we only had a single wardrobe and 5 hangers.Usually there is ample wardrobe space and a seating area.I will definitely return but will ask for the rooms we've had on previous visits. It is a very comfortable place to stsy and handy for walking into town."

Good Value Stopover

"Good value stay. Room clean and comfortable double bed. Included breakfast was adequate (would preferred fried eggs and mushrooms with cooked breakfast). No vegetarian option (sausage etc..) or signs to say could request this? Hotel is in good location to city centre re 10 min walk. Would stay again as good value for our 1 night stay over."
