"I was at Daku for two nights. As a single traveler, it was very safe and convenient. The staff were amazing. There is snorkeling right across the street which is very convenient. Walking to town takes about 30 minutes and there aren’t sidewalks at points so I might recommend taking a taxi. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant on site and all food was excellent. Upon arrival be sure to ask which nights they’re having a buffet because it’s worthwhile planning to stay on those nights. My Bure had a nice outdoor shower and beautiful view of the ocean. When I return to Savusavu, I will stay at Daku again. "

"Wow! What an amazing place to stay along with views from the balconies is priceless! Beautiful home that accommodated my family with everything we needed and spacious too. Perfect location and only about 10 minutes walk to town. For those with mobility issues I recommend that you catch a taxi. We were there for a family reunion and wished we could stay longer. Our property caretaker Laisani welcomed us with beautiful fruit platters and fresh coconut juice. This was unexpected and we were very grateful for this nice touch to our holiday. Ann, our taxi driver is also very accommodating and available whenever we needed her. Excellent communication with Jodie too. This place is definitely worth more than five stars. I highly recommend Jodie’s Retreat and I would stay there again!"

"Our stay at Wavi Island was fantastic! The island and villa are absolutely stunning, beyond even what the online pictures portray. Josh and Shabana Warner were the kindest hosts, too. Josh picked us up at the airport, helped us get the rental car, showed us around Savusavu, took us grocery shopping, recommended restaurants and dive shops, and upon arriving at the immaculate Wavi Island, gave us a personalized tour. He was always available for questions during our stay, and upon our departure, he even washed our rental car so that we could avoid the fee charged by Budget. We could not have asked for a better villa or host!"

"Check-In: Prompt, in the correct room, right away, much earlier than the regular check-in time posted. Host and Hostess: Mr. Mukesh and his wife are excellent hosts! They are easily available if you have a request! Both are polite, gentle, humble! They own this 12 room hotel. Room: Quite, large. With fan, AC, medium size fridge, medium size TV. Bathroom was clean, hot, and cold water and it worked fine! Toiletries provided. Coffee, tea, creamer. View from the several roof to floor large windows of the bay, Nami island. Excellent in the delux room number 2. Bed: Comfortable. Clean. Kitchen: Allows making meals. Location: Totally near: Savusavu market, Pearls shop, Resturants next door Liquor shop Barbers shop Seafood shop. Hosts are generous and kind people! Whole family is excellent! Wifi was good strength. They even provided a hot spot for me! Fresh fish daily in the market! Excellent shops nearby! The magic happened for me several times. I was extra nice to them: One day they provided me okra with rice my favorite meal. Remember, I was extra nice to the staff, host family! Yes, the place us quite! There is a night guard! Near bys and taxi stands! Walkable to everything! A medical center around the corner! Totally convenient! Parking is free! I thoroughly loved my stay! I plan to come again! This is my second stay at the Bay View Barbers lodge. For my extra nice style, Mukesh dropped me at the Savusavu Airport and went on a boat trip."
