"My wife and I ventured to Sau Bay around the 20th of June, shortly after it opened. At a high level, we give the place 6 out of 5 stars! At the top of our experience was the incredible staff that greeted us and took care of us throughout our 5-day stay. We had previously spent a couple of weeks at some other resorts in the Mamanuca islands, and while those were also great, Sau Bay stood head and shoulders above them in terms of service, privacy, and overall experience. "Rob and Deborah were terrific hosts! Easy to communicate with and so willing to help - as an example a new table lamp was provided as soon as we asked for better light to read by. We were invited to help ourselves to passionfruit which were plentiful and luscious. Paw paw were delivered to our doorstep. Great to have our laundry done for us for a small fee. The beach is almost deserted, white sands, clear water and blue herons fishing. Lovely little islands offshore. The cottage was perfect...

It was a wonderful vacation all around and definitely the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! The private beach was wonderful and honestly, I never wanted to leave! And we really enjoyed talking with y'all as well! I'm just sorry we didn't get more time to catch up! "Emaho Sekawa is a total gem! Fijian warmth and hospitality was on full display from the warm welcome ceremony to the heartwarming goodbye song. The staff were top notch. They were attentive and accommodating at every turn, offering the highest level of personalized service you could imagine. They showed genuine interest in making sure we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We truly enjoyed all activities (sea kayaking, snorkeling, sand island, mud bath and waterfalls, cocoa plantation tour). The property itself is spectacular, with breathtaking ocean and mountain views. We stayed in Villa Emaho which offered total luxury, peace, and tranquility nestled among the dense tropical hillside overlooking Savusavu Bay. The villa was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Everything was in great working order and housekeeping/laundry upon request made our stay very comfortable. The food and service were superb! Everything was made to order with fresh, with local ingredients and served in our villa or at the bar. We were there to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and the chef even made us a delicious gluten free birthday cake with cassava flour! "

Perfect vacation to Fiji!

"My husband and I honeymooned at Wavi Island and could not have dreamed of a better vacation. Shabana and Josh were extremely friendly and accommodating. The island feels magical, great for a romantic escape or a family stay with plenty of Peter Pan-type exploration for for the kids. We had a relaxing and romantic visit and Josh and Shabana provided local recommendations for food and activities that made our stay even better. I recommend Wavi Island to anyone interested in a story-book trip to Fiji!"

"I was at Daku for two nights. As a single traveler, it was very safe and convenient. The staff were amazing. There is snorkeling right across the street which is very convenient. Walking to town takes about 30 minutes and there aren’t sidewalks at points so I might recommend taking a taxi. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant on site and all food was excellent. Upon arrival be sure to ask which nights they’re having a buffet because it’s worthwhile planning to stay on those nights. My Bure had a nice outdoor shower and beautiful view of the ocean. When I return to Savusavu, I will stay at Daku again. "

"We spent 11 nights at Maravu Paradise villa and it was pure bliss. We love the views from the villa and the space it offers. Great for our kids to run around. It was home away from home. It had everything we needed. Danielle was very easy to reach and communicate with. Laite and her husband, Zack (housekeepers) are wonderful. They prepared the pool hut for my husband’s birthday. It was like staying in a private resort, without the pretence. Looking forward to return "

Absolute Beachfront Holiday Cottage with Private Saltwater Pool on Savusavu Bay

Peaceful and Beautiful

"It doesn’t get more beautiful, private, and beach than this. We walked in the beach for sunset every day, used Alex’s kayak to paddle out and snorkel at the reef, and enjoyed cooking meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Alex and Avi are wonderful hosts. Responsive, welcoming, friendly. The cottage is beautifully designed and clean. The sound of the waves and birdsong was so relaxing. We highly recommend this beautiful spot!"

"Check-In: Prompt, in the correct room, right away, much earlier than the regular check-in time posted. Host and Hostess: Mr. Mukesh and his wife are excellent hosts! They are easily available if you have a request! Both are polite, gentle, humble! They own this 12 room hotel. Room: Quite, large. With fan, AC, medium size fridge, medium size TV. Bathroom was clean, hot, and cold water and it worked fine! Toiletries provided. Coffee, tea, creamer. View from the several roof to floor large windows of the bay, Nami island. Excellent in the delux room number 2. Bed: Comfortable. Clean. Kitchen: Allows making meals. Location: Totally near: Savusavu market, Pearls shop, Resturants next door Liquor shop Barbers shop Seafood shop. Hosts are generous and kind people! Whole family is excellent! Wifi was good strength. They even provided a hot spot for me! Fresh fish daily in the market! Excellent shops nearby! The magic happened for me several times. I was extra nice to them: One day they provided me okra with rice my favorite meal. Remember, I was extra nice to the staff, host family! Yes, the place us quite! There is a night guard! Near bys and taxi stands! Walkable to everything! A medical center around the corner! Totally convenient! Parking is free! I thoroughly loved my stay! I plan to come again! This is my second stay at the Bay View Barbers lodge. For my extra nice style, Mukesh dropped me at the Savusavu Airport and went on a boat trip."
