"Old school and old building. Excellent location and views, spacious rooms, fine service. The amenities were ok. The main issue is smoking. A non smoking hotel that hands out matches in every room, what do you think it’s going to happen? If you’re a smoker it’s for you. For me it was always an exercise in opening the windows to get the smell out of the room and close them quickly when the suicidal monkey next door smoked in their balcony"

"Lovely hotel and room with a super view. But the room was so over heated. The radiator was on the highest setting when I arrived, I turned it off, but the room was still like a sauna for the rest of the night, and this was on quite a cold day in March! Very poor sustainability wise to be using so much heating unnecessarily. "

"This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.The staff are outstanding. Polite, helpful with excellent English but prepared to humour my attempts at speaking French. The room was wonderful with an incredible view across the lake to the mountains. The breakfast buffet was amazing, especially the eggs Benedict cooked to order. The spa was good too. "Very nice hotel with a superb view of Lake Geneva from the deluxe room. Train station and an Aldi very close to the hotel. Supermarkets not open on a Sunday. The staff were lovely at the hotel and the shuttle service to the airport was superb. Our only gripe was that the breakfasts were lukewarm or cold as well as a very expensive evening meal. Not many other eating options in the vicinity. Otherwise lovely. "
