"Our 4 night stay was okay but could have been much better with a bit more attention to both the house itself and to the communication.Upon arrival, the power was out. We’re familiar with power outages on island but without WiFi and sketchy cell service in the area, we had to drive 20 minutes down the road to inquire about the outage. We learned from the host- we never did get a response from the property manager- that there was a scheduled power outage that day and power would be back on in a few hours. Would have been good to know this before we arrived.The dishwasher was not working, there was a sign posted for this. The temp in the refrigerator was only ‘freezing’. The was broken as well and we couldn’t adjust it. Learned that overnight when we found frozen milk, fruit, juice, etc the next morning. We started our first day by throwing out about 30 worth of frozen food that should not have been frozen.On the bedroom windows, there are no curtains, only shears, providing no room darkening/ privacy, especially from the vehicle lights on the main highway.There were very limited bath towels and washcloths,which we could have resolved but there was no laundry soap.The AC worked well, the house was spacious and the view was as pictured . This house is right on the main road so traffic could be noisy at times.A few more bath towels, a better working fridge and a bit more communication would have made this a better stay.For the price, there should have been more value."

"Lovely accommodating staff set the vibe for the whole resort. Low key, helpful and attentive. Restaurant had a varied and delicious menu. The only negative would be the music was always on and carried to our room. "

"This Cottage is not for everyone but, if you are two adults looking for, almost, total seclusion, a fantastic 'pink' sand, private beach 75 steps from your patio, a short drive to several great restaurants, this is the spot. Total rest and relaxation!! "

"John has a great spot to stay that is clean, well equipped, close to the beach, town and airport. Nice setup plus he has his own car rental which makes the travels less stressful. John is a great communicator and has all the processes down to a science. Highly recommend. "

"Pristine private beach, ready access to calm seas, and a perfectly complementing plunge pool. Our group of 7 left only to pick up the famed cinnamon buns and assorted groceries at Island Farm. Beautiful sunsets, but beware the no-see-ums in the early morning hours and at dusk. "

The attention to detail and care put into every aspect of this property made it stand out as one of the best vacation rentals we’ve experienced.The communication with the host was responsive, clear, and thoughtful. It was evident they truly care about their guests' experience, and everything about the home reflected this. The outdoor amenities were a huge highlight for us. Unlike many other rentals, this property went above and beyond with thoughtful extras like boogie boards, pool toys, kayaks, snorkeling gear, and a stand-up paddleboard. These touches added so much fun to our days. The pool itself was a favorite hangout spot, and the outdoor spaces were perfect for relaxing or soaking up the beauty of the location.The home is in a very convenient location on the quieter side of the island with easy access to everything you need. We had no trouble finding groceries, supplies, and great local restaurants. One of the best parts of our stay was meeting friendly locals who were welcoming. The island offers access to many incredible sandy beaches, all within a 10-20 minute drive. Some roads are rough, but the island is working to improve them.If you’re looking for a vacation rental that combines hospitality, attention to detail, outdoor amenities, and a peaceful yet convenient location, this is the one. We highly recommend it!"
