"Niice very modern renovation of an older (19th century?) building, right off a main boulevard 5 minutes away from just about everything you'd want to see in Cluj. Staff is friendly and helpful, my room was adequate for the price and breakfast was generous and tasty. Only 2 quibbles. 1. skimpy pillow. 2. no way to adjust heat/cooling in room and in the course of 4 days in mid-October, one would have need of both."

"The cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! We weren’t sent the room entry codes ahead of time but a quick call to the manager fixed that and he sent them right away. The location is perfect - within walking distance to a lot of main attractions. The only downside is there is no dedicated parking and areas around the hotel are hard to find. "

The key ingredient to this hotel is the staff , well trained , polite , happy to there working , from the cleaning to front desk everyone seems to be happy and want willing to go out of there way to make your stay memorable . "SPA EITHER NOT FUNCTIONAL OR 'NOT INCLUDED'. EITHER WAY A CON. I booked this hotel on the basis of its advertised spa facilities. When I went down to use them I was informed they were 'out of service' - no indication had been given prior to my arrival or even at check-in. I asked about the possibility of a partial refund on the basis that I had spent significantly more on Paradis for the pool and sauna than I would have for other accommodation. I was told by two different receptionists that...

"I suspect this is a totally refurbished Communist-era hotel but it has been refurbished magnificently. It is just over the river from the Central Park and just below the wooded Belvedere, creating a quiet, almost non-urban setting. It is an easy 10 minute walk to all the sights in Cluj and there is a bus stop with a goodconnection to the train station just beside the main entrance. Breakfast was sumptuous and generous too."
