"The location is very good to access the sanctuary. The staff is friendly and helpful. The included parking is a bit far away (250m uphill), but street parking is easy to find nearby and free overnight. The facilities are a bit old, but clean. Included breakfast was also very good. The overall value for price is very good. A great option if all you are looking for is a place to sleep while visiting the sanctuary."

"We stayed here with our 2 children and it was the highlight of our touring holiday. Andy and Jules are lovely hosts and made us feel really at home. The house and gardens are spectacular, a little piece of heaven! Lovely swimming pool which was immaculate, as was everything else. Jules is also a fantastic cook and we will remember our table d' hote for a long time and how Andy and Jules looked after our family. "No one to let us in, another guest opened the lockbox. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was complete, shower was good. Breakfast was help yourself, bread, jams, yoghurts, orange juice, tea and coffee, but no milk! "We were really sad to leave Cécile’s home! She is such a kind and thoughtful host. Every morning, after breakfast, she would help us plan our day’s excursions, and just chat with us about families and life. Her primary language is French, so English-only may be difficult, but I’m sure necessary communication is possible. "Je ne recommande pas du tout cette chambre d'hôte. Pour moi chambre d'hôte c'est en compagnie de l'habitant. Pas même un verre d'eau offert à l'arrivée. Réception de nos chambres et le propriétaire est reparti en verrouillant toutes les pièces sauf nos chambres, refusant l'accès à la cuisine, nous indiquant qu'il n'était pas un gîte ! si j'avais su j'aurai choisi un gîte ! pas même de quoi se faire une tisane, pas de frigo. 2 chambres.Et il revenait marcher à 8h du matin au dessus de nos têtes....

"On arrival we were told that they were overbooked (admitted it was their mistake), we were taken to another house which was about 5k away. Which was comfortable enough for one night. There was plenty food and wine but the food was very simple fare.On our final evening we were told food would not be available, so had to eat in a restaurant about 5k away, we think we would like to try Chambres D'hote again as we enjoyed sharing a meal with all the other guests."
