Great Location
Really enjoyed our stay once we got there. Right on the beach with a really nice pool. The directions we received were really bad and confusing. The unit is located at Ocotal Beach not Coco. We would definitely stay here again.

Frustrating experience!
There were many problems with this VRBO, but most notably were the following: 1) The booklet in the room had the wrong information for hooking up to WIFI! I spent a good hour trying to get WIFI on computer and phone. I happened to go by the "common area" and noticed a laminated piece of paper that had the correct WIFI information on it. 2) The unit is described as a kitchenette. It did have a coffee pot and a couple plates, but there was only ONE coffee cup (luckily I was traveling solo) and NOT ONE UTENSIL in the place! 3) It had a sliding door, but it was not useable. Again, my impression was you could walk out your sliding door to the beach. 4) The air conditioner was broke. 5) There was no one to help with anything. I went to the condos next door to the office area, and they were able to call cabs, provide information, etc. There was someone there occasionally and she tried to help, but language barriers were difficult. Overall, not a very pleasant experience.

Location: 5 stars Cleanliness: 5 stars Bedding: 5 stars Wi-Fi: 0 starts Responsiveness to issues (wi-if inexistent): 0 There was no Wi-Fi in the unit. They had a device that did not provide anything. It was NOT what was specified in the email or the in-room instructions. Had to call Oregon support as the local contact did not respond at 10pm. They couldn’t do anything. Next day was able to talk to the local guy but did not get fixed. Ending up spending $20/day for my US data plan. That is a fail.

How dare you permit an unidentified third party to advertise on your site?
On 1/11/19 I booked a stay for 3/24/19-3/29/19. My credit card was charged almost $250 more than I expected because a third party "manager", VACASA, was secretly advertising and administering the property. While the additional cost was not welcome the misrepresentation of the property was truly disappointing. It was so bad, we left after one night! Here is a list of problems: -advertised kitchen amounted to two shelves in the TV cabinet, which had a microwave and a refrigerator. -the refrigerator was running, but it did not cool. -there was water pressure enough to use the toilet and the sink. -water pressure was insufficient to operate the shower and there was no tub. -advertised in-room wi fi did not exist. The router had been removed. -the call center number for problems was not answered -on-site management spoke no English. When they were asked about the wi fi and lack of water for the shower they shrugged and replied "VACASA" I have used VRBO's service for many years without a problem. Allowing a third party management group to insulate the renter from the owner is a very bad idea.

Very wonderful on sight staff. Joaquin and his family couldn’t have been nicer. They went out of their way to help us. At night the area and pool are usually empty except for the two of us. Very beautiful.

Beautiful property, right on the beach. We had the place to ourselves and hope to return soon.
Beautiful ocean front property. Nice and peaceful. Only 2 rooms on this property and we we're lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. We hope to be back in a few months.

So comfortable , relaxed atmosphere
Our hosts, Joaquin and Katy were the best, most helpful hosts you could ever ask for. Make sure and ask Joaquin to sing for you, wonderful entertainment. Their breakfasts and lunches are very good. Our room was so comfortable and clean. Bed was great. I would have loved to have a small table and another chair, since we ate in our room several times. Room only has a microwave and small frig. But turned out to be all we needed. A short walk down the hill and your at the beach that I have to say it’s hot out there. We preferred to relax around the pool. Just down the hill too is Father Roosters Bar/ restaurant. Foods good there. They even had fire works for some special occasion that we watched from the veranda over looking the pool. We met some very nice people there during our week there. If you fly into San Jose and rent a car, make sure their GPS is up to date. We had a problem with that. Luckily we were given written direction out to our destination from Playa Coco. Oh and if on line it says it will only take 3 hours to get someplace it may take 5+. We still had a very good time.
