One of the owners of the property greeted us for check in. He showed us how to work the hot tub, gas powered fire place, convection oven, as well as a tour of the entire apartment that is beautifully furnished. You can tell from the pictures that it is a rustic Adirondack decor but the details in person are even more beautiful. All done by the owners. Both were very friendly and very accommodating! Very clean and very comfortable! Would definitely stay there again!

Great Getaway!!
We were greeted by Bobby when we pulled in and he helped us carry our things into the cabin. He showed us around the place and made sure we had everything we needed. We were visiting our daughter and her family who live right up the road a bit. We will absolutely be making contact to stay in the future. Very warm and cozy!! Wonderful experience. Wonderful getaway.

We had a great stay. The jacuzzi was sparkling clean and we enjoyed the waterfront location for kayaking. Location is private yet very close to town.

Weekend Getaway
This is a perfect location for a getaway weekend. Check in process was seamless and Walter went the extra mile sharing dinner recommendations and the history of the property, photographs and building details. You have your own private deck and hot tub which was absolutely amazing. The property is tastefully decorated with Adirondack decor and the bed is very comfortable. Downtown Saranac Lake is within walking distance. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We were greeted by Walter. The place is decorated beautifully. Very artsy decor. Loved everything. Comfortable bed and nice gas fireplace that warmed up the room very quickly. I used the hot tub twice. It was so clean and relaxing. We might look into renting a lower cabin some day.

Colden Lodge-Home Away from Home
We always enjoy exploring new areas. New York State is no exception. The Adirondacks are truly magnificent. Our stay at Colton Lodge was perfect. We love the location. We were able to explore Lake Placid and the surrounding areas -everything within minutes-and return to our very comfortable lodgings in Saranac Lake. A lovely view of Lake Flower, inviting Hot Tub, a gas-lit fireplace, easy kitchen and comfy bed make this place an excellent home away from home. Hosts very friendly and very attentive. Will definitely consider visiting here again.

This was a great place for us to celebrate our anniversary! The ammenities were great: the bed, couch, and chairs were comfortable, the shower had great pressure, the kitchen had all we needed, the fireplace really heated the place up quickly, the hot tub got daily use, and the access to the lake and kayaks were excellent. It was a very short walk to restaurants and shopping, which meant we didn't need to drive anywhere if we didn't want to. The surrounding Saranac Lake area has lots to do. If we needed something, the owner and property manager addressed the issue quickly, with no hassle. Overall, we had a great week!

just ok for our purpose
there was no mention of the construction going on to the entire building - our little unit and the manager's unit were the only ones livable. Lake front was true but overrated for April and our purpose of observing the solar eclipse. It was unsuitable for observing the eclipse. Bobby, the manager (owner?) was mostly unavailable by phone for an urgent question though very accommodating when we did speak. Email or phone provided disappointing and slow methods of communication.

Wonderful weekend away!
My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights this past weekend, it snowed and it gave the trip a magical quality. Check-in was seamless, the property manager met us there and even carried my suitcase in! He gave us some recommendations of places to eat and showed us how to work the hot tub. The place was extremely clean and even cuter than the pictures. The bed was so comfy and I slept great there! Sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing is just amazing! The owner even left a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us! We sat at the dining table and put a puzzle together in front of the picture window and it was just the getaway we needed. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Just a couple suggestions that in no way detracted from the place: those folding luggage racks would be nice in the bedroom so you can put your suitcase somewhere neatly and a few more towel hooks for towels for the hot tub, shower towels, bathing suits can all be hung at the same time. Maybe behind the two bedroom doors even. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend away, we’ll be back! 💜

Super Cute Birch Suit
The property manger was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for Ironman weekend and he gave great recommendations for restaurants based off my race prep needs. The decor was just adorable and comfy, plus the hot tub was the cherry on the top for relaxing before and after the race.

Lovely suite. Everything new and very clean. Enjoyed using the hot tub after our hikes. Location is perfect - close to the hikes we were interested in (Saranac 6) and close to several restaurants. Beautiful property! The owners residence is being refurbished so the front looks like it's under construction but it didn't impact the suite or us in any way. Had a short tour of the owner's residence - gorgeous but a lot left to do. Looking forward to coming back when it's done and finishing the rest of the Saranac 6.
