"The staff and team at the Bel Jou Hotel was absolutely amazing. From the time we walk into the time we left, we felt extremely welcomed and appreciated. And the activities on the resort... Wow... make sure you ask about the mixology class.... The only thing I felt that could have been better regarding the hotel was the bathrooms. The shower reminded me of being in a cruise ship."

"Unique resort with an astonishing view from the hillside above the center of Soufriére. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool and bar area. Good restaurant. Short (if steep) walk to the beach and town. Heed other reviews about stairs -- the hillside setting is what gives this resort charm, but if you don't like climbing stairs it won't be for you. There will be some noise from roosters and dogs in the town early in the mornings, so bring earplugs or a white noise machine if you're a light sleeper and you like to sleep late. Overall a great value compared to other very pricey nearby resorts if you want an amazing view."

"The resort had everything we needed and more. The staff is fun, friendly, kind and very attentive to any needs. The food was amazing and many choices for every meal and snacks. We had a group of six friends we all had a great time. "

"Lovely property with exceptional views, close to town of Soufriere, friendly and accommodating staff. The road in to the property was a little bumpy and rocky but still definitely accessible. Good sized room with comfortable bed and nice kitchen area. Roosters were a little noisy! We would stay there again."

"Fond Doux Resort is an absolute gem and we enjoyed it so much more than anticipated! From the moment I arrived, I felt surrounded by the most beautiful, untouched nature. The sounds of birds, tree frogs, and rustling leaves were constant companions, making it feel like I was truly immersed in the rainforest. Everywhere I turned, there were towering trees, colorful flowers, and fruit hanging from branches—it felt so alive and vibrant. We stayed in the cottage furthest away, which meant walking through the forest and up a series of stairs to get there. At first, we thought it might get tiring, but honestly, it was magical every single time. I found myself wishing I could do that walk every day—again and again—because it made me feel so connected to the nature around me. Our cottage was so private, and so many birds came to visit, almost like they were just as curious about us as we were about them! We also loved spending time at the pool, soaking in the beautiful views and just enjoying the peacefulness of the resort. I was truly so sad to leave. In fact, before checking out, I even walked back up to our cottage one last time, just to see it again and take in the moment. If you love nature, the sounds of the rainforest and want an authentic St. Lucian experience, Fond Doux is the place to be!! I absolutely loved my stay and I shall cherish my time there. Thank you!!
