"This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. Can’t wait to plan my trip back here! "

Choquequirao Sanctuary Lodge

The fact that the hotel exists there is amazing in itself. No idea how the mattresses got there. My son and I stayed 2 nights on a recent hiking trip to Choque. We didn't want to carry tent/sleeping bags/ground mat, etc...and add day/s to the hike, although we could have camped for very little money. The hotel was well worth the...

"Truly recommend to stay at Chaullay Salkantay Hostel during your Salkantay trek. The place has exceeded our expectations (especially after other lodges during the trek). The rooms are a great standard and provide real comfort, they are clean with towels and soaps. We had a room with a private bathroom which was clean, convenient and with an amazing shower (all you wish for during the trek!). The beds are very comfortable and it’s a proper building, sheltering you from the cold and wind, letting...

"Cosy and rural plaze built into the trees. Friendly staff and good food. Only 5 minutes drive from Santa Teresa and about 30 minutes from the Hidroeléctrica train station that goes to Machu Picchu. There is a nice river close to the hotel, which you can hear from the hotel. "

"The pass is closed to get from Mollatana to the hostel by order of the municipality, we tried to ask for permission to pass but they said that no agency could do tourism because there was no pass for anyone other than inhabitants."
