"The owner was very very generous, friendly and helpful. He treated us as if we were part of his family. You don't get this treatment very often. The location is very close to the entrance El Zaino for the Tayrona Park. The vegetation around the property is fantastic. The only negative side is that the cabins are very close by the road and there is a lot of noise day and night. For the day it might not be a huge problem, but at night if you have poor sleep you might suffer from the noise."

"The location is beautiful and the grounds are kept impeccable. You see how much staff they dedicate to keeping the grounds well maintained. A lot of hidden gems to be discovered simply wandering around the sprawling property of Maloka Barlovento/Casa Tayrona Los Naranjos from various pools to a tiki bar that has reggae music and salsa playing. "This is a beautiful hostel, i thought it was a hotel. I wasn't aware that you had to drive on a rough road up the mountain, i found out 2hrs before we got our car rental. They do provide transportation but we found out last minute. The food at restaurant was really good and the service is great. The beds are hard but not an issue for me."
