Easy road access but at least fifteen minutes walk/funicular to get to cafes, shops etc. Book spa access slot in advance (free to guests), had it all to ourselves for 45 mins, which is nice, but they only switch it on as per bookings, so steam room and jacuzzi were not very warm when we used it."

At night there are a lot of homeless people that camp out there right on the train station steps, literally a few feet from the front door of the hotel. You have to get buzzed into the hotel, understandably. It might be a little bit awkward for someone traveling alone.... on a high note.
