"place okay. Bit early in season. Everything at the accommodation closed at 7pm. Didn’t open again until breakfast at 0730am. Nowhere else to hang as main reception area closed at 1930so confined to pokey room or outside in cold. We were offered a bigger better room at an extra 20e a night on check in which came over as ours was bit rubbish! -which it was ! It was a 15 min drive to Avola on a dodgy road. "This is a stunningly beautiful property set in many acres of land, an estate planted with olive and almond trees together with vineyards. A series of one story buildings in the estate house the rooms/suites. A central building (pictured) houses the reception, a dining room and an area by the pool. "Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Most of the ingredients were from the farm. The dinners more than met expectations. Each evening meal was delicious, and no dish was repeated during our 3 night stay. From the appetizers to the limoncello, all was wonderful. Everything was served with a friendly smile and explanation. One of us is vegetarian and they happily accommodated. "I had been looking at several villas in the area, but when I saw this one, I knew it was the one I wanted, however in the Vrbo brochure it says it is a short walk to the church, but it is a 15 minute drive, apart from that it looked good.
