The grandkids (ages 4, 6, 7, 9) were over the moon with this 'surprise' overnight stay before we headed to our cruise. The staff were terrific. The pullman car was awesome. We knew it wouldn't be a spotless, newly built hotel room, but this made it all the more exciting to be in a venue from days gone past."

"This is a very unique, one in a life time experience staying in a historic train carriage.We stayed at Silver Foot which located inside the museum.Check in is easy and David and Chris were extremely friendly and helpful.The carriage has almost everything a 5 star hotel has. A dining table, one double bed, two bunker beds, a shower and two toilets.There is also a fridge.The museum locked it's gate after business hours but Chris is happy to let you in and out if needed. Just a phone call...

"Jeff and Polly were the best! We were greeted with fresh baked cookies. And then the second thing I noticed was the personalized welcome sign. It’s the small details that made this stay unique. The food was great as well. You can see that someone put some love into preparing those dishes. If you’re looking for a little getaway for two, I can tell you and my girlfriend and I recommend this place!"

"We went for a short family getaway to enjoy the Strand and beach for a weekend. We had a great stay! Marsae was so helpful and easily available for a slight issue we had getting the door unlocked. The kitchen was well stocked and the sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group of 12. Only complaint is we couldn't stay longer! Even after check-out Marsae was so helpful with a couple things that got left behind.We will definitely be booking again!"

"This was a pleasant surprise. We booked at the last minute for an event in town and all other places were booked solid. We would definately come back and stay again. The owner was great, gave us a lot of places of recommendations to go and eat and do. This place certainly has a personal touch that you don't get with a hotel. Everything here was very clean. "We had a wonderful one-night stay with our family! The property was very clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for the kids to hang out while the adults enjoyed visiting and playing cards. The short walk to the beach was perfect, and we were able to experience a lovely sunset together. The only small suggestion we have is to add a Keurig to the kitchen in place of the regular coffee pot for added convenience. Overall, the stay was awesome, and we’d love the opportunity to stay here again!"
