This home is right on the water, normally steps to the sand, with a spectacular 180-degree view of the beautiful bay from Monterey/Carmel to Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz city lights by night. Best area for the Sunsets!
Located 4 homes down from Moran State Beach, which has sand access right to the street should there be a high tide or sand loss in front of the home.
Enjoy world class surfing at Pleasure Point and WindanSea surf breaks right out front (we offer surf boards), or relax on the spacious ocean side deck or the upper master suite deck, BBQ and watch the surfers, sailboats, seals on the rock, otters, dolphins, pelicans and ocean activity. Take a bike ride (bikes are available) or stroll to Capitola along the beach front bike path.
Enjoy numerous quality restaurants and nearby night life. Very close to the Harbor for dining and fishing.
We have 3 King Beds and 1 Queen, one King bedroom is detached through the courtyard for privacy and 3 bathrooms. Smart TV in each bedroom and WIFI throughout. Hot/cold outdoor shower and a water filtration system.

Enjoy the peaceful setting and gorgeous sunsets with the sound of the ocean! This two-story home sleeps eight in comfort. Two bedrooms open into interior courtyard. The master suite comprises the entire second story, oceanfront.

Family vacation
This house was very spacious for our large group, everyone had their own space, the view was beautiful, the beach was so close and Capitola had a lot of good shops and restaurants. The only downside was the weather it was foggy.

Summer Vacation
Our stay was wonderful! The Home had everything that was needed for our stay and was spacious enough for our family of 7 adults and a toddler. It is easy and close to Capitola, The Boardwalk and great restaurants. The walk to the beach is very close and family friendly. The views from the home are spectacular. We could not have asked for a better vacation home.

Perfect central location for day trips to San Francisco and Carmel. Great house for our needs. Could improve on stocking with few more essentials like paper towels, toilet paper and dryer wipes or fabric softener. This is important for a large group staying for a week.

Our family of 4 greatly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The ocean views from the main living area and primary bedroom are incredible. The home was clean and all the beds were comfortable. We appreciated being able to use the washer and dryers. The furniture/decor is dated but fine for the price point. My only request for improvement would be to leave a few Keurig pods or some ground coffee for the pot for those (like us) that arrive late.

Best location to walk with boards to Santa Cruz! Full on use of gourmet kitchen every night with absolutely gorgeous views! Owners responded excellently to a couple concerns and were very open to settling issues. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic beachfront rental
We have been coming to Santa Cruz for 10 years, and this is the best rental yet. A huge deck overlooks the rocks and beach. Sunsets are amazing. the home is very spacious and includes a separate room off of a courtyard. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. An easy drive to the boardwalk or downtown Santa Cruz, yet all the privacy you could want.

Great view and location
This place was fabulous. The house was perfectly setup. The master bedroom was huge and the view was unbelievable. The deck looked out over the ocean and every one who on more than one occassion was caught standing and saring out to sea. The location was perfect for long walks along the cliffs to downtown where there is a Shoprite, malls, movies and you are in the middle of 2 wharves, the Capitola and Sata Cruz..Access to the beach is about 4 houses down from this house.. Easy to access

Nice, well appointed ocean front home. Living room furniture was not comfortable. Ant issue and a bad smell in the wall of one of the bedrooms. Other than these issues ,the home is lovely with a fantastic view.

Right on the water
Nice property, no immediate beach access- though a very small beach was a few houses down. Parking was tight with three cars on busy street. Views and sunsets were breathtaking. Suggest more toilet paper/paper towels. We ran out. Rear stand alone room was musty and friend complained of mildew on light fixtures. Property in general was damp, but it was cold and wet during our whole stay. Beds were comfortable, master suite was very large. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

WORTH THE DRIVE
We traveled from Idaho to spend time with our adult children and one grandchild. All of us, from age 67 through age 30 months, had a marvelous time. We had no safety concerns for our little guy, and the adults immensely enjoyed the sounds and view from both the magnificent deck and the fully-glassed living/dining area. The downstairs view is only exceeded by the view we enjoyed from the upstairs bedroom. I could spend an entire day reading and looking and listening from the comfort of the chaise lounge upstairs. Tara was very helpful, the home was well equipped, and certainly we would recommend this property to friends and family.

Right ON THE OCEAN!
I can't stress enough the absolute stunning deck that is RIGHT AT THE OCEAN'S EDGE. My family and I can't believe what an amazing experience it was to stay here. We spent 4 days watching the sunrise and set, surfers, seals, dolphins, pelicans, sea birds, the changing tides... everything an ocean lover can imagine. We were hoping for a whale, maybe on our next visit! 😆 The house is so cute. It was clean and had everything we needed. The living room tv allowed us to catch the games on Sunday while still enjoying the view. Go Taylor's bf! The kitchen was great, but we ordered out for every meal. The capitola village is just a short 8 min drive to grab delicious dinners. We walked to the Point Market for breakfast burritos and sandwiches. We have stayed in the past at a nice hotel on 41st. This house is a huge upgrade and totally worth the price! I am already counting the days until we can book this property again!!

This house is right on the water! Hear the ocean all night. Great area!
My family of 8 stayed here. Enjoyed the home and the location. Awesome deck and view. I was disappointed that it showed steps to the water that have been washed away and haven’t been there in years. There is NO way to walk from deck to water. But... the cute little beach is only 3 houses down. Photos are misleading. House was very clean and comfortable. Nice to have one bedroom detached for my daughter and her baby. Master bedroom is Beautiful and cozy. Awesome deck and garage loaded with toys, bikes and beach gear. I would suggest to owner thinking of replacing living room furniture. Very uncomfortable. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Wonderful Beach House!
Our family of six, 3 generations, thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at this amazing beach house! This was a real splurge for us and much needed vacation. The property and location delivered a great experience and met most all our expectations. Loved the layout of the home, the detached master bedroom was perfect, the upstairs master a dream, the open floor plan and amazing deck perfect for all the family. Our first time vacationing in the Santa Cruz area, had plans to do a lot of exploring - but it was so hard to leave the beach house for long, we chose to relax on the deck and watch the wildlife and listen to the waves and breath the fresh air! Thank you for an amazing stay at your beach house! Note - it would be even more perfect if the family room furniture were more accommodating and comfortable for a multi-gen family. After a long day outdoors and exploring, the indoor patio furniture did not meet our expectations or match the comfort standard of the rest of the house - it was a bit disappointing. Hoping it can be improved upon as we would love to return in the future.

No Beach Access Because There is No Beach
We recently stayed at this rental in July 2010. Overall, this is a very nice house. All the amenities we like were inside the house and it was very clean, comfortable and with updated furnishings. However, we picked this rental because of it's beach and beach access. The tide is so high 24/7 that there is no beach whatsoever and there is certainly no beach access, despite what the owner states. Further, the current is so rough that the tide splashes against the rocks and sprays the back porch, so the back porch is not usable at some times during the day and the noise is so loud that it is impossible to sleep in the upstairs master bedroom facing the ocean. The pictures on the site show that a beach is sometimes there and just prior to our visit the owner confirmed the beach was there, however, when we asked the neighbors where the beach was, they told us they hadn't seen the beach all summer. If you want a nice house with beautiful views, this is a great place. However, if you want beach access to sand, look elsewhere.

No Beach Access
We stayed here with another family in April 2010, and there were a total of 5 young children. We were specifically looking for a house on the beach where the kids could play. When we asked if there were stairs down to the beach, we were told there are. From what we could tell, there are stairs down to the rocks, but that's about it. And from the photo, it looks like a nice big beach. What the photo doesn't show is that it's high tide all the way up to the rocks except for early morning, so it's really not possible to hang out on this beach during the day, unless you are on a surfboard. There is a beach a few houses away, but with 5 little kids, it's hard to manage which is why we were looking for a house on the water. The gates were into the courtyard were falling down, as well as the gates from the deck down to the rocks. They don't provide beach towels, just 2 towels per room so you should definitely bring your own if you plan on going to the beach. The views were wonderful, but I would probably look elsewhere next time.

Amazing Ocean View
We stayed at the property this past March with 7 adults. We picked the property specifically because my 87 yro mom wanted to see the ocean again. It was perfect for that. She uses a walker and was able to get around the property with ease. When it was too cold for her on the deck she was able to sit in the living room and watch for dolphins out the windows. We did see dolphins (porpoise?) once and lots of sea otters. Bring binoculars! Also saw a ton of surfers from deck. The upstairs master BR view was amazing. It is a steep climb up those stairs but worth it. My husband and I chose to stay in the studio since we both have knee issues. It was a little musty in studio as property had been empty for a while and there had been a lot of rain. We aired it out during the day when weather was nice and musty disappeared quickly. All of the bedrooms were comfy and the whole place is much prettier than the pictures suggest. There were some weird smells that we were afraid might be a gas leak so we called property manager and she came right over to check it out. Never figured out the smell and it didn't go away, but was just by front door, maybe skunk? We had a really great time exploring the neighborhood, We live in the desert so the surfer culture was fun for us to experience. There was no longer access to the small beach in photos, looked like storm has washed structures away? but the little beach but the cute beach 3 doors down totally made up for it.

Enjoyed our stay, but it’s not what it appears to be ...
The pictures sold us on this house, unfortunately they aren’t accurate. This house is in a good location with a perfect view of the ocean, the Santa Cruz boardwalk, the lighthouse, and much of the Monterey peninsula. Meals on the deck, especially dinner with a sunset view, were fantastic. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, wifi worked great (we had 3 people working remotely for a week on a lot of devices), and we really liked being close to both Santa Cruz and Capitola! The house is 3 doors down from a nice little beach, but you all need to know that there is absolutely no beach in front of the house. The first 4 pictures in the listing show a beach - they are obviously pictures from MANY years ago. Today, there is no sand exposed whatsoever, the steps shown abruptly stop half way down (washed away over the years) with a 6 foot drop to the rocks/water, and the rocks are covered in moss. The pictures include a description that highlights the beach that is “tides/swell permitting” - that’s just not true. It has nothing to do with tides, the pictures aren’t current. It’s very misleading. It’s a great view, it’s not a beach. If that’s ok, you’ll be very happy staying here.

Great beach house with a view.
Gorgeous view of the ocean..with a huge deck with many chairs to sit on and relax while watching the waves crash on the beach. Huge bay windows in family room to watch the sunsets while having dinner on a big table that seats 8. The house is seconds away from Santa Cruz and Capitola.

Beach Getaway
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. The stunning views, perfect location, and thoughtful amenities made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
