"The overall service was good, except for the guys at the Bar. Barman super rude and servers horrible! I had to stand up and ask for the menu several times, talk to the bartender which gave me a horrible treat pizza was burnt twice and flavor disgusting. At one moment I decided to get water from my room and the same rude bartender asked me to pay like if I was going to run away. Next time he should ask if I needed something else. "

"This property, location, and hosts were more than we could have asked for. We had 8 of us, including two 9 year olds and used all three floors. The setup was perfect. And we had more than enough amenities. Marnie was also very quick to respond and give helpful guidance if needed. We did almost all of our meals at the house and found the kitchens well stocked - even with an assortment of spices. (Eldon’s is the place to shop and note that the house has grocery bags in the kitchen that you can use and save a few dollars.) And the location was phenomenal. Using the kayaks (or even swimming) to go out and snorkel was very easy. There is some really nice snorkeling straight out from the house. Nonetheless, a little to the east (straight out from the orange house) is top world class snorkeling at Spooky Channel. We swam there at least 6 times, and every time left amazed and having seen something new. Also snorkeled at Hall Moon Bay - which was fine but didn’t compare with Spooky Channel. And we snorkeled at West Bay Beach. The beach there is beautiful and the snorkeling was incredible here too and yet very different from near the house - highlights were the green moray eel and the eagle ray. Was planning on this being a once in a lifetime trip but we might actually try to come back - and if we do, Turtle Casa will be our place to go!"

"This is my first time at La Placita...just a block off the stunningly beautiful West Bay beach. This is a comfortable, affordable, pleasant place to stay here on Roatan!"

"I love the peacefulness of this hotel, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. Even though it’s not a beach front property, they do provide transportation and access to a near by private island (Big French Key). There are multiple swimming pools. They have a couple of restaurants so no worries about where to eat early in the morning or late at night as one of them is a sports bar which by the way, has live music some days of the week. There’s also a supermarket very close to it so if you stay at one of the suites, you can stock the full size fridge with goodies ;-). Thanks to Alison and Eldon at the front desk because as always they are very friendly and knowledgeable."
