"The rooms are comfortable and had all the facilities you would want. The rooms are a little tired but with such a busy island you’ll only be sleeping and showering in it. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming including to our dog who they treated like royalty. Evening meal very good and breakfast which I paid for in advance was impressive. Great location. A little noisy at pub closing time but should be expected as I booked a hotel above a pub!!! Would recommend for all"

"Close to cruise port but we did have to stand in the rain because we didn’t have access to our room until the owner came to open for us. Very nice staff and rooms were super clean. Prices were reasonable compared to big named hotels. We always like to stay at smaller inns to get the feel of the neighborhood. Great neighborhood pub. People all super friendly and the locals went out of their way to welcome us and visit! "

"I read the reviews of this hotel after booking and was a bit apprehensive but this hotel is clearly under new management. Staff so helpful and friendly breakfast was really tasty with fresh locally sources produce and I had the mixed grill in the evening (my go to meal), AMAZING! If I ever visit the IoW again I would happily stay at the Prince of Wales. "

"The Grapes Hotel is a piece from history, and historic hotel connected with historic events that hasn´t had the old doors and woodwork replaced with modern veneer. This is absolutely the real deal. This is the place where at least some of the Titanic crew partied the night away the night of April 9-10, 1912, just before they went on their voyage. And the pub looks like it did. "Room had all our needs and was well equipped , clean and smelt fresh at all times , staff very friendly and welcoming. Car parking was excellent no problems at all. Breakfast was very good plenty to eat and drink and efficient service, We had one thing that would have made our stay perfect if the mattress had not been sprung it made the bed feel very lumpy in places and sleep was hit and miss , we will be booking again next time we ho to Chichester as we found it very easy to get around , a big...

"Ample parking and close proximity to the cathedral and its grounds (indeed, the entry to the cathedral's garden are right next to the car park.). Very good breakfast. Hours on the bar and kitchen can be rather limited. Not a big deal as there are other pubs/restaurants are a very short walk away."
