"A little bit out of the way, but only a short walk to the Shambles, bus stops, and lots of shopping and restaurants. I was happy with my stay. "

"Great location, easy to get to York centre and the road was quiet slept well both. Room 1 was great, en-suite, welcome goodies (fruit, pastries) mini fridge with water, yogurt and juice. Slippers, bathrobes, facilities to make tea/coffee and warm food. Will definitely stay again. "

"A wonderful welcome. Very charming establishment. Great location for The Barbican and a 10 minute walk into Town. We were on the top floor and had views of the minster. Thoroughly enjoyed oir visit"

"Avoid this place! Rooms were dirty there was mould all over the bathroom couple of weed smokers were in other rooms and it smelled disgusting we didn’t even spend more than 20 minutes there and they didn’t give a refund. "

"Although I didn't actually end up staying at this property due to my own issues, the owners have been more than accommodating and understanding to my needs. I would recommend this stay for anyone looking to deal with kind, respectable individuals that truly care about their business. "

"Nice area and friendly welcome from the owners. Lot of building work at the rear of the property which was very noisy first thing in the morning which probably worth noting on the website. Property was reasonable but lacking in ventilation as the bedroom window was defective as was the skylight. Overall our stay was fine however if those mentioned shortfalls were addressed it would be a 5 out of 5"

"Comfortable and accessible accommodation with everything you need for great stay. 15 minutes from York and 10 from Selby it is close to amenities but far enough away to be quite. Great hosrs5sho greeted us in arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Looking forward to returning in the future."

"Overall a good stay. Needs a bit of TLC to the paintwork. Bathroom is quite small but adequate, & bedroom space was small ie bed against the wall. Stayed in deluxe studio apartment it was nice to sit on chairs instead of bed to watch tv. Nice kitchen area if you want to cook something simple. Bed was comfortable & extra pillows if wanted in wardrobe. Great communication & easy mobile entry via email "

"Lovely little property located in a quaint village:) Staff members were super friendly on arrival and the whole check in/out process was smooth. The property has a lot of charm but needs a little tlc. The bathroom is basic and shower not great but the rest of the facilities in the room were good. The bed was a little on the hard side and very squeaky. Overall a good stay and for what we paid we were happy :) thank you x"
