"An amazing property to stay at if you have a quick 24-36 hour layover in Costa Rica. The staff is polite and attentive, the rooms are incredibly designed to provide a cultural feel with eco sensitivities, and the best part is that the property has about 2-3 hours of hiking available on the grounds Will come back next time I'm flying through SJO"

"Pool was unsafe, no steps out just metal ladder not good for seniors with limited arm strength. Also totally unheated in the shade so too cold to stay in (February visit). One ladder was loose as well. "

"The Fairfield is a clean, efficient, modern hotel close to San Jose airport. A free airport shuttle bus runs every half an hour. The staff are friendly and helpful with very good English. Excellent varied buffet breakfast with options for all. "
