"Conveniently located near Colorado Bend State Park on the Colorado River, this house easily acommodated our two families with room to spare. The only drawback was staying in February when it was too cold for the pool. Guess we'll have to plan a return trip..."

"We were looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay in the country and we found Artemis Ranch. We stayed in the cottage on the property and I could immediately tell the difference from other vacation homes we’ve visited in the past. The owners really care about the guest experience. There were 2 bottles of wine and a basket full of snacks for the whole family: coffee pods, chips, candy, etc. The fridge was full of bottled water. The cottage was immaculate, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything I needed to cook a nice dinner. Everything was top of the line, including the awesome pellet grill. The hot tub was amazing and looking out over the property with the sky at night and the lit trees at the lodge was beautiful. We were able to fish and catch bass in the lakes. I enjoyed hikes on the gravel roads over bridges and hills with great scenery. The best part, however, was Ty (the owner) so graciously taking us on at least a 2 hour tour of the property and all the animals. My 3 boys were just amazed at everything- including feeding the friendly Rhino, Giraffes, and a sweet deer named chocolate. I don’t know how we will ever top this Vrbo- we felt so welcomed and like VIP guests. Ty is a genuine guy who just loves this property, all his animals, and hosting guests- and to quote him “what’s the point of having all this if you can’t share it?” Thank you Ty!! We will be back! "

"The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we had such a blast. Very close to the Colorado Bend State Park and we enjoyed using the grill right outside. Would definitely come back and bring our doggos next time! "

"Off the beaten path house that’s very nice. Has everything you need for a quiet peaceful stay without any drama or disturbances. The livestock on the surrounding ranch adds to the appeal. It was our second stay and it did not let me down. Close to town. Make sure to check out the Pecan Grille while here. "

"Staff was great!!!! Bed could have been a little softer and missing remote in the bedroom. Could not find any reg tv channels on the livingroom tv. Overall i would stay again, loved the history of the hotel. "

"Members of the staff were friendly, cheerful, and efficient. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Our experience was very pleasant, and we will return next time we are in the area."

"Walking in the lobby, we were immediately hit with that “new hotel” smell. I’m not sure if they’ve had a recent remodel but it was so clean and bright. We were given our choice of floor to stay on and were taken care of swiftly. Our room was sooo clean! No scuff marks, no weird smell, no questionable linens. The cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in a long time. The outlet in the bathroom has the BEST blue light night light! We loved that. We will definitely choose this location if we are driving through again!"
