"A few items in the apartment were broken like the microwave, the privacy door for the shower and the washing machine was not functional and would not drain or spin. The key for the parking space also could not be located by the end of our stay, but the company was kind enough to give us a credit for the inconvenience."

You are not “hosted” as a guest, but are required to sign a short term rental agreement before you are given any details about the property location. There is then an extensive list on how to turn on every appliance in the property - heating, HWS, and even Wi-Fi was turned off. Who turns the Wi-Fi modem off these days???
