"Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

"We had a wonderful time - the bedrooms are all spacious and well appointed and location very peaceful. You need a car as there is nothing within walking distance and the bigger towns are at least 45 min drive but easy to access as are the lovely beaches with their fish restaurants. The owners were fantastic in dealing with any issues - we didn’t hear anything from the agent manager at all during our stay. "We stayed in July with a group of 32- friends and their teenage children. The villa is stunning, in a quiet rural location only minutes to the sea and Ragusa itself. The rooms were spacious and always cool, a perfect sanctuary from the heat. The pool and entertaining areas were perfect for gatherings and afternoon cocktails. "We were a group of 9 adults aged 28+. The check in process was easy and communicating with the hosts was quick and clear. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The hosts have 3 beautiful dogs. One of the dogs, Lily, is very comfortable around guests and super friendly. "A very helpful and friendly host. The accommodation is in need of uprading. The external furniture was of poor quality plastic or old wood without any pads. There were no parasols. The waste disposal arrangements are inadequate. Air conditioning should be installed upstairs as a minimum. The steps up to the town are overgrown and totally unlit. This is not Lucio's fault but he should accurately describe the situation. The property has great potential. Lucio is a superb host"

"Elio welcomed us with a magnificent spread of local delicacies and a bottle of wine. The villa itself is comfortable, well laid out and well decorated. "The house is lovely with a great pool and a beautiful garden. House is well equipped. Location is a bit remote so car is a MUST as nearest town is 11km, 20 min by car. Nearest beach is 25 minutes drive. Overall though as long as you plan your food shopping well the house will provide a very comfortable stay"
