"This was an extremely clean well maintained suite. Our view of the fishing boats on the canal was interesting to watch from our deck. We used the heated pool and relaxed on the deck chairs every day! The hosts were very helpful in every way even giving us their own fan on a hot still day. We hope to be back next year for a longer stay."

"The accommodation, property manager, local were the best. Any requests were dealt with in a very timely fashion. We found one shortfall, the noise level at times, especially in evening was louder than expected but this was the holiday season and locals had moved into area and celebrating. We will definitely be back to the area."

"We just loved this spot! The layout of the property, our coffees on the deck area overlooking the property, Siegfried our host, just so many good things. The kitchen is equipped with the bare essentials. We didn’t cook at all there, so that wasn’t an issue. The bed was quite a bit different from what we are used to - more on the hard side. "This was our first visit to Barra and we will definitely be back! Able was very accommodating and the condo was in perfect shape. The location is in the heart of old town and walkable to the Malecon, water taxis and restaurants. It was fairly quiet as it was early in the season but we got to know the locals and everyone is so welcoming. It is a small community that support one another and we felt like a new neighbor. Thank you so much and we look forward to our next visit!"

"My brother and I stayed at Villa La Joya for three nights and enjoyed the entire time. The hosts bent over backwards to make us comfortable and even took the time to discuss life in Barra de Navidad and surrounding areas. "We are four retired women and quite enjoyed our stay. On the plus side - property is very large and very private. Wifi and air conditioning work well and showers were hot in two bathrooms but not .The pool was clean and well maintained. While we have no major complaints about the beds - the bed linens and pillows were in very rough shape. Bathrooms were extremely tiny and there was only one working kitchen. Overall the property has good potential but needs some work. Would stay there again."
