"Great place, nice surroundings, literally few minutes walk to the beach. Henry, the owner, is definitely doing everything to make the place friendly and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and free "all day" breakfast at Iguana bar. The only not exactly positive thing to mention was loud music from a restaurant on the beach (they have live music on weekends), but I think you would hear it in the radius of at least half a mile, so no matter what hotel you choose, weekend nights are not going to be...

"The hotel has beautiful views, wonderful staff (Tom and Marvin), and great food. It would be nice if hot water was available for showering. All of the water was salty as well. They didn’t have any blowdryers. Understood it is a hostel but for the higher cost of a private room, they should carry a few cheap ones at the front desk to borrow for guests of private rooms in case they need. A nice hostel I stayed at in at Lake Atitlan did this. The rooms on the rooftop get noisy if it’s windy. Minimal...
