"This villa is the perfect retreat spot with spectacular views of the bay. Our host was super responsive and accommodating. The villa is set up with all the essentials including rockers and table, chaise chairs and a hammock for nap time 😉. The house is comfortable despite the afternoon heat but cross ventilation helps immensely. "The view is breathtaking, ac is cold, pool is refreshing and staff is fantastic. My whole family enjoyed this vacation. We had yoga instructors come from San Juan most mornings for family yoga in the private palapa as well as masseuses a couple times for sunset 10/10. The beach is really close, surfing is fun for all levels, restaurants are delicious. Town is about 30min out on a dirt road, and they are building a new road as I was there so may be closer soon - will be back!!"

"I got sick, woke up with 104 fever 4 days before my stay and had to go to the hospital. I messaged the host to advise him immediately that I missed my flight and had to cancel hoping to get a voucher or reschedule. I never heard anything. Then a day prior someone from the resort who represents him asked me how my stay was, at which time I reiterated that I was not even in the country, didn’t make it on my trip, and I advise that representative that had messaged the host. "One of the most amazing places I’ve stayed and the perfect setting for our group. Manuel and his family were super helpful whenever we needed Theo assistance on the property. Communication was excellent during and leading up to our stay. I would absolutely stay here again. The roads to get there were a bit tricky, so make sure you have clear directions, especially if you’re arriving at night. For us, this was all just part of an epic adventure! Only good things to say about this place."

House is on top of a steep hill from the beach with multiple other houses between it and the beach. Some key pictures in the listing are outdated; for example, the listing picture of an ocean view from the first floor no longer applies as it appears to have been taken over 10 years ago before tree growth blocked the view. "This place is great! James was exceedingly helpful in the weeks prior to our visit. Thank you James! The house is beautiful and the folks taking care of it are lovely. Everything worked well, with the exception of the WiFi which was slow and only really available in the kitchen — not a big deal for us though; we have phones for hot spots & it meant that we enjoyed the resort (and the cafe) for our early morning work calls. "We absolutely loved our time at the Villa, it is the perfect location for a group and allows for lots of space for all. The pool was enjoyed by everyone, the night sky is spectacular and Joel and his family made it feel like home. We had a vehicle, so the 15 minute drive to and from SJDS was not a problem for us and we were closer to three incredible beaches from the villa than if we were in town."

"If you want to commune with nature and don't need close proximity to shopping, restaurants, action etc, this is a perfect place. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and gadgets making this a great spot for preparing gourmet meals. We particularly liked the fact that there's both a front porch and a back porch giving us the option to sit in the sun or not at our whim."
