Beautiful home with an amazing view. The home was clean and plenty of room for our family of five. We loved spending time in the pool after long hot days doing adventures. We had a delicious meal cooked by the property manager and the owner went above beyond aiding us in getting a left sweatshirt. Will definitely stay at this magical home again.
Awesome stay. We really enjoyed the location and awesome view which is above the jungle outside of Santa Elena. We felt a part of the community. The pool is awesome and the wildlife viewing is great from the patio and pool area. Katia and her entire staff of workers were great as well.
This is a very nice home in a beautiful location. We stayed here for a week while exploring the Cayo. The view from the deck in amazing. The pool was a nice to cool off in during the really hot afternoons. The host, Consuelo, was great and we had her cook dinner twice at the house (I highly recommend it).
We had a wonderful stay at Katia's property! The house was beautiful and the pool and the view were outstanding. We had everything we needed and communication with Katia and the other staff was excellent.
My only complaint is that only one of the three bedrooms has AC, and when we were there it was HOT (consistently in the high 30s/40+ degrees C), so sleeping at night in the non-airconditioned bedrooms was quite warm - but opening the windows and putting the fans on did help.
We would definitely stay again and recommend Katia's house to others looking for a well located, beautiful and peaceful retreat.
Thanks!
Carly
We just loved our time in this beautiful home.
Tons of space, completely surrounded by nature, well equipped home, brilliantly designed to take advantage of the breeze, a refreshing pool to dip in, dark sky for stargazing, perfect view of the sunset and sunrise, tucans in the trees during sunrise, comfortable beds, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, lots of towels, and the host is a wealth of knowledge on the area and super responsive! We highly recommend!
Our group of 6 were extremely impressed with the beauty of this home; little extra touches and beautiful wood throughout; sitting on the dining room deck overlooking the amazing view of the jungle/forest; coming home after a day exploring and taking a dip in the pool; Consuela cooked for us 1 night - it was a nice break and great food. Katia answered any inquiries quickly and was very helpful with directions and details. The gardener kept the grounds clean and always had a smile; the resident dogs were very friendly and so well behaved. All 6 of us were pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to recommend to friends or go back again.
Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning hilltop rental property with breezy breathtaking panoramic views and a luxurious pool. This modern home exceeded all expectations, providing a truly unforgettable experience. The property manager, Consuelo, was exceptional, ensuring our stay was flawless. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail were remarkable. To top it off, Consuelo treated us to a delectable homemade meal one evening, which was both delicious and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this property enough - it truly offers the perfect combination of beauty, comfort, and outstanding service.
This property was just amazing! The layout was perfect for our family…we like to spread out and there was plenty of room to do that. With the bedrooms on either end of the house, we all met in the middle for meals and to enjoy the incredible view from the back. We cook a lot, and the house had everything we needed. We just wished we were staying longer to enjoy more of the view, but we had so many things planned. Don’t miss the Iguana Conservancy and the VIP tour at the Raptor Center is a can’t-miss! AJAW Chocolate in town was super fun and educational. We love supporting the local community!
Thank you, Katia, for being an incredible host!

Incredible!
Don’t hesitate to book this property. It’s a 10-min drive to San Ignacio where you can find tour guides to take you pretty much anywhere. This house is an architectural masterpiece. The owner is so accommodating and responsive. The view is fabulous and it’s nice and quiet w/ good bird watching. We used Pacz Tours in San Ignacio for our caving trips (ATM cave & tubing in Roaring Creek River through the cave complex there). Xunantunich ruins are also close to the house (@15 - 20 min drive) where we heard and saw howler monkeys. This is the best location to use as a base for inland explorations of Belize (and eastern Guatemala too).
Wonderful home, great location for jungles, caves, ruins.
This home is gorgeous, peaceful and spacious. The grounds are immaculately cared for with lovely walking paths. The back deck and pool overlook the back yard. We saw toucans every morning in addition to squirrels, lizards and other cool birds.
The kitchen has all the basics; salt, coffee, dishes.
The driveway and roads leading to the property are awful. Ruts, holes, etc. but part of the adventure that is Belize. No kidding though, worst we encountered anywhere in Belize.
I strongly recommend this property to anyone! We enjoyed our stay immensely.
We had an amazing stay in Santa Elena. This house and property are very well stocked and kept. It’s a beautiful property that’s is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the effort. The breezy porch is perfect for morning coffee. A note about the swimming pool, it was too cold for our liking. Perhaps because we are northerners and used to heated pools. We had Consuelo prepare a meal for our arrival, including a cake from a local bakery that she picked up for us. This was for a birthday and was fabulous!! I can not praise Consuelo enough. She greeted us on our arrival and explained everything and was there for our departure. We definitely recommend this house.
Katia and Consuelo were great hosts. We traveled with our kids aged 4 and 6 and they absolutely loved everything. The house was clean and as described.
The pool was fantastic. It was clean and went from about 2 feet deep to about 6 feet allowing the 4 year old to really improve his swimming. Lots of nearby activities kids can do including cave tubing.
The house was ready for kids and had toys already there. Three cement floors were great because we didn't need to worry admit kids tracking in pool water. The outdoor dining room was great also.
Afternoon and overnight breezes made sleeping with fans and the sounds of nature pleasant. There is a bedroom with AC if you really need it, but we didn't find it necessary.
Highly recommend staying here.
Everything about our stay was amazing! Katia is a highly responsive communicator and helpful resource, and the housekeeper, Consuelo, well let's just say I wanted to see if I could convince her to come home with us permanently! She was so kind-hearted and made us the most delectable meal. The views and yard are breathtaking (we saw toucans from the porch most nights!), the pool was a hit with the kids, we enjoyed the multiple hammocks, and the home's overall aesthetics were wonderful. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.
We were here during dry season and had no problem getting up the hill without 4 wheel drive, but I bet that would be different during the wet season.
The property description clearly says this, but keep in mind that only 1 bedroom has a/c. We happened to be here during a HOT week, and ended up moving a couple of extra mattresses into the bedroom with a/c because sleeping without a/c was next to impossible. The house is designed to have excellent crosswinds coming through which would be more than sufficient to cooling purposes in all but the hottest weather (which we had).
All in all, it was a fabulous stay and we already miss the property!
Our stay was full of wonderful surprises. Toucans every morning just off the deck, SEVEN in a single tree while we sipped coffee. Parrots, jays and a host of other feathered friends regularly visited. Consuelo was gracious and so helpful when we arrived. She cooked us two delicious regional dinners and gave us a tortilla making “class” that had us all laughing and learning. The beds and bathrooms were comfortable and accommodating. We booked multiple adventures through BZ Adventures and they picked us up and returned us home on time with no hassle. We struggled a few nights with a small pack of sweet but barking dogs at night but Consuelo sorted that out for us. We would stay there again! Don’t miss the weekend market, ATM cave and Tikal, all within reach from this home. Kitchen had everything if you want to cook but between Consuelo and local restaurants we enjoyed amazing regional foods. Don’t hesitate to enjoy Consuelo’s authentic cooking! She is a gem and so is this house.

10 Stars Please?
I need more stars!!! Our stay was amazing!
Katia, you need to take more pictures or something, they don't do this house justice! After a long day of travel, you pull up to a rather unassuming house, but when the door opens and you get that breathtaking view and delightful breeze, you are IN LOVE. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids, all the amenities we needed and super clean.
Consuelo, there aren't enough words to thank you. She would hug and kiss our kids all day if she could! She taught them Spanish, had them help in the kitchen, and was the nicest person I've ever met. We had her cook at three dinners while we were there for an extremely reasonable price and they were not only delicious, but we sat out on the porch and soaked in the atmosphere. I put a load of laundry in before heading to Tikal for the day and Consuelo had put it on the line and folded it all up for me. I almost cried.
The pool is 10x better than it looked in the pics. A great shallow end, lots of room, heated just right. Hammocks everywhere.
There were toys for the kids and dozens of CDs we played constantly and movies for bedtime.
It felt like we were guests in someone's home, not renting a home online.
Thank you for this experience. You made it very special for us.
This house in Santa Elena is so cool! Our family of 5 stayed here for three nights. The house itself is well maintained, very spacious and clean. The views around the property are gorgeous and the surroundings are lush and so peaceful.
We had Consuelo cook for us one nights and it was the best as she prepared food and cleaned up everything after. We got to relax after a long day. And Consuelo is so sweet and helpful.
Wonderful stay and would highly recommend!
The property was beautiful, clean and well kept. The view is amazing and the property owner is extremely helpful and communicative.
We used the owners cook and recommended tour guide as well and both could not have been better.
We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay and saw Toucans in the mornings as well as parrots and Kiskadees. The house is well laid out and there was lots of space for our family to either come together or separate off and find interesting nooks and corners to sit, watch the vista or just nap. The view from the veranda is gorgeous.
It’s an artistic and creative house with lots of effort going into making it aesthetically pleasing. There are amenities in easy reach and the local bakery on the main road was really fantastic.
Consuelo was there to greet us and show us the ropes. A big thank you to Katia and Consuelo.
Consuela welcomed us in the doorway of the most picturesque modern home I have seen. The site pictures did not do the Casa Hill View justice. When you open the window wall to the hill side view, it is absolutely breathtaking. We arose early everyday just to get a glimpse of the sunrise and to hopefully catch a snapshot of the ever elusive Toucan. Thank you Katia for allowing us to share your beautiful home.
We had an amazing experience in San Ignacio. This home is a little away from downtown but that’s what makes it amazing. The views are amazing. Every morning we would watch the sun rise. Consuelo was an amazing cook and hostess for the property. I agree with other reviews-have her cook for you. Katia there property owner was amazing to communicate with and coordinate our stay. She was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. The pool was amazing after a long day of hiking ruins and exploring. You will want to stay here if visiting San Ignacio.
