"1st this is a great hotel but located on a very busy street. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The front desk was a great resource and helpful in things to do around the area and helping schedule things. Breakfast was a very good buffet style with something new on the menu everyday. Rooms were nice size especially ones with a view, kept very clean by housekeeping and service was great. Everything in the hotels control was excellent."

"I booked the Balmoral because it was in the historic district downtown, so I knew we'd be in the center of the city. I wanted to see the old section and we found the Museum of Costa Rica, which is housed in an old fort, right downtown. There was an restaurant sort of attached to the hotel which was very convenient and perfect for a nice dinner. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom had been remodeled and the was was hot - a must for us! The only thing missing was a washcloth, but I had packed one so we were good. the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Overall a great experience."
