"We had the best night's sleep in a hotel ever here . The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel itself has a lovely grand entrance. There are some places that looked tired but thats to be expected for a building of its age . It didn't affect our stay in any way. The breakfast options were very good . We will definitely stay again sometime "

"The Parkgate is the perfect place to get away from the world. The service is topnotch and the staff are always incredible and will always welcome you with a warm smile. The room service was aldo great and nothing was too much trouble. We had stayed in the Tower Suite and as always it was stunning, quiet and the perfect place to just quiet the mind. It has to be my most favorite room, not only because it's beautiful but it feels like a quiet secret getaway. Always a pleasure. "

"It’s my first time been to Wales and we stayed for 2 nights. Overall it’s quite good, nice staff and room is cleaned. We try to setup the air conditioning for lower temperatures as we felt a bit hot in the room. Unfortunately, it’s central conditioning. Rooms is a bit hot for the kids."

"The Cardiff Marriott hotel is a lovely hotel in a great position and with a secure car park. It also has an onsite restaurant, which served a delicious breakfast. However, the price of the drinks shocked us as we were charged £14 for one glass of white wine! The room was good although exceptionally warm with a very loud fan, which we couldn’t leave on during the night due to the noise from it. "We stayed a night having returned at 2330hrs on a flight, there were some others from the same flight checking in, its all about the location for this hotel, so as there is no competition we always stay there if we are flying. No complaints, the breakfast was looking a little jaded but were were towards the end of the service so no complaints."

"Good for what we needed. Tea and coffee facilities were great. Iron and Hairdryer included in the room was a good touch, first time I've ever needed to use them and they worked. The pool was ok, slightly too busy, but we did use it at peak time (evening). Great stay."

"Room was big, but cold. Bed was huge and comfortable. Nice coffee machine, but not enough coffee pods or milk. Nice hot shower. A bit noisy room with hearing the traffic. Paid over £100 for 1 night, would have expected parking to be free. Menu very limited, not a lot of variety to choose and very expensive. Food was cold on delivery to the room and missed items. "The services closed at 8pm! I think that is a little too early when you are stopping and need food. We ended up getting Uber Eats from a local Chinese which was lovely. The hotel is a little dated but did what it said in the tin.. would stay there again. Lauren, the lady on the desk ant the hotel was absolutely lovely.. very helpful and informative. An asset to the company 💜 "

"A real gem, across the road from the station or use the great free car park next door. Reception was welcoming and after hearing about a bad night at a national chain the night before they promptly sorted an upgrade of room for us - so kind. Breakfast was served in a sunny open room with lots of choices and cooked to order! A fabulous way to set you up for the day. "
