"Lovely clean property, the children really enjoyed the games. We were very pleased with the little extras that the owners have available like tea & coffee. 40 mins from Alton Towers was very handy with a Tesco enroute so we could get any bits we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future when in the area. "

"Enjoyed our stay. No instructions provided to open the manual lockbox to get the key to enter the property. After a long delay we found a video on Google & happy we opened the lockbox. Comparing this property with our other self catering stays, this property does not provide toilet rolls. "

"Great home for a big family or friends group stay. House is was perfect size for 7 couples with fully furnished living room, dining room and kitchen. Host was excellent with his response times and accommodated all our needs. Location is very central and few nice pubs around the corner. I would recommend The Odd Fellows pub. Wish weather was better and we had another day of stay to enjoy the snooker table and hot tub too and outdoor area. "

"First of all I don't think the pictures do the place justice - it's so lovely and so much space. There was 18 adults for a 2 night stay and we felt like we had plenty of space and everyone commented on how nice it was and how comfortable their stay was. The decor is lovely and fresh, the bathrooms are gorgeous, and beds comfy. Communication with hosts was great and prompt, check in easy and we had everything we needed. Thanks for a lovely stay!"

"Struggled with check in as it was in complete darkness, had to use torches on phone to navigate around "

"Lovely property in quiet neighbourhood. Very close to Ashbourne town centre and it’s excellent amenities. Great value for money. Well equipped spacious property , the only area of improvement would be the cleanliness of kitchen items / fridge and wooden floors. Double beds were on small side and a little uncomfortable"

"It was okay just a few constructive comments, 1 no toilet paper in Brothers toilet, 2 Coffee, Sugar, Tea tins need refilling 3 , Window Sills could have done with a clean apart from these items all was ok and the Host was very pleasant"

"A beautiful heritage estate of large proportions and character. The history was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb. A beautiful country setting with beautiful views of the river and farmland. Well equipped rooms, with all appliances you could ever need. Rooms were cosy and warm. We loved using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Highly recommend and I would love to stay here again, given the opportunity."
