"This is a true Swiss lodge at nearly the top of nowhere. The staff is friendly but it helps to have a little German or French. Be sure you specify exactly what you want in a room..like a shower AND toilet, or you may be sharing. You need to be fit enough to walk up to 4 flights with all your stuff. Our top floor room was lovely with 2 comfy twin beds, multiple windows and even a small sleeping loft (for kids?). "Location, location, location! The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Seriously it’s just right in front of the train station. You can wear your ski boots with your ski gears walk out from the hotel’s ski room directly to catch the train in 2 mins. It’s just like a ski-in/ski-out hotel to Zermatt. The free breakfast was good while dinner lack of choices. Overall, it’s an excellent hotel if you want to ski in Zermatt, but don’t want to stay in Zermatt town (No car allowed)."
