"Had a fantastic 10 days with the family. Our host was very welcoming. Spacious and functional house, inside and out, perfect to accommodate all 13 of us with plenty of communal areas. Ideally designed so that each of our 4 family units had their own bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. One small draw back, hot water ran out for the 6 people in the main house, despite very quick showers, but it didn't spoil the holiday. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room. "Beau gite dans une habitation récente à l'exterieur de La Rochelle mais très bien desservie par un service de bus. Le bus passe toutes les heures et l'arrêt se trouve à 3 minutes du gite ou un P+r à 20 minutes pas de souci de parking lors de votre visite de La Rochelle . Le propriétaire du gite est très accueillant et fait en sorte que votre séjour se passe agréablement . Magasin de proximités dans l'Houmeau et accès à la plage a pied ."

Il y a beaucoup d'activités à faire dans les environs, à 15-30 minutes de voitures (plages, vélo, balade en barque, villes balnéaires, parc aquatique..). "The house is NOT appropriate for winter rental letting. The main room's only heating system is the old fashionned fire place. The house is not insulated at all. There are gaps around the doors which we tried to block with our sleeping bags; there was no functionning heaters in any of the bedrooms. The first two nights stay the thermometer registered 8 degrees! The manager, Wendy Williams, promptly brought extra wood and elelctrical heaters. Unfortunately, the heaters tripped the electrical...

"We loved it and we would love to return. We know the area after years of holidays camping with our children and Les Rabouilleres is a perfect base for beach trips and exploring further afield. We had mixed weather during our stay and the warmer nights were a bit stuffy in the bedroom but otherwise the cottage suited us perfectly. Thank you to the hosts."

"The property is lovely but a little tired in the garden area. Check in was terrible, the keys were not at the property, had to stay in a hotel for 2 nights whilst a spare set of keys were located. The stay in the hotel was refunded by the agent which was good. Toilet flush stopped working last week there, could not contact the agent/person responsible for property, had to full toilet with water each time needed to use it for last week there. Even on day of check out no one had come to repair...
