"Great stay, room was lovely and really comfy bed. Both the room and bathroom had heating so even in December it was nice and warm. Nathalie was a great host :) - I was able to use the microwave and cutlery etc to warm my dinner as I was exhausted after a long ride. I had to leave by 7am so she left me coffee, toast, and lovely home made jam so that I could have breakfast before I left. My little dog and me felt right at home. Thanks again :) "

"Chance au Roy is situated in the countryside outside Aigneville. The accommodation is part of an estate, the owners living in a chateau the accommodation is in the grounds. It’s a beautiful setting but in need of some restoration. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Elizabeth the owner, she hadn’t been expecting us, despite booking ,but showed us a room that was available. "Despite it being very low season and most of St Valery sur Somme being shut for annual holidays, we had a lovely time. We were aware beforehand that this was the case. We have stayed at this lovey Gite before and it was fabulous then. Situated in the heart of the town it has beautiful views over the bay and is a lovely cosy fisherman’s cottage. Great facilities and beautifully clean. The check in was as easy as always and we hope to stay again. Thank you."

"We had a really good stay and found the accommodation extremely good with the single exception of parking - this is complicated and not free (unless you want a 20 minute walk to your car) but, given how central it is, close to the square, shops and restaurants, this wasn't a problem. There are lots of great walks and a trip on the railway is a must! The owners have prepared a very detailed and comprehensive set of guides, so everyone will find something they like. Highly recommended."
