"We've just returned from spending a very relaxing family Christmas break at the Gordon House. It was our first time away from home at Christmas and we were travelling with teenagers and my elderly mother and I have to say the house worked beautifully for all. "Overall my family and I had a fabulous holiday at Fort Shelley. Before booking Andrez was very efficient and accommodative with all my queries. Once at the property Nair and Shaneka looked after us splendidly. Whilst I loved waking up to the sun rising, some of my keener sleepers in the group would have loved the opportunity to have blackouts on windows and door to balcony. BUT the condo had not been cleaned properly - previous guest's toothbrush and other items were still in bathroom. The outside is just UGLY and the condo is WAY TOO FAR from the beach. "Food was amazing. Drinks were delicious. Rooms beautiful. Would like to see a more private toilet room. An area down by the water to have a hammock would be great. A gazebo or something similar for a place to do yoga or meditation classes "

"My husband and I stayed for 6 days in a DC ocean view room. We had a great experience! Our butler Rowan’s was great with what little requests we asked of him. Our room was cleaned and stocked with fresh towels, snacks and beverages on our fridge daily. We celebrated my birthday and they went above and beyond in our room and dinner to accommodate. One night they hosted an event at Pescari that was for Expedia & Marriott guests and it was a great cocktail hour meeting management staff and winning prizes. The spa was amazing, I highly recommend Kenneth & Angela. Ignore the bad reviews as we ran into people on the resort who left a negative review, and found they were just the negative type who have nothing good to say. We had a great experience with nothing bad to report. We would book again in a heartbeat. "

"Overall this resort is very nice. Beautifully designed and decorated and nice art work throughout. When we were there it was very quiet. Beach is small. Prickly Pear Island is a bonus and a beautiful spot to spend the day via a short complimentary boat ride. Food is OK not amazing. Most of the staff were very friendly and great service but at times the service was slow. This area is quite remote and not within walking distance to anything. St. Johns is 15 minute drive and English Harbour and area is 45 minutes. Great spot to relax and unwind but not much to do in the area. "
