"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. "Séjour au vert! Concert des chouettes la nuit, concert des tourterelles le jour. Penser à l'indispensable lampe de poche, car la nuit, tout est au noir. Pas de circulation sur le domaine, gage de tranquillité. Certaines structures sont plus intimes que d'autres ( les yourtes sont sur un grand espace commun, assez grand pour sa tranquillité). "Firstly a big thank you to the staff - without doubt they make this aparthotel welcoming and are very helpful. The car park is easy to access & secure. The room we had was fine, reasonably modern with everything we needed. Being on the first floor we did suffer from quite a lot of fan noise from the next building if we wanted to keep the window open. The gym was a bonus. The position of the accommodation is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre though buses are available. It's a pleasant area...
