"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! "Séjour au vert! Concert des chouettes la nuit, concert des tourterelles le jour. Penser à l'indispensable lampe de poche, car la nuit, tout est au noir. Pas de circulation sur le domaine, gage de tranquillité. Certaines structures sont plus intimes que d'autres ( les yourtes sont sur un grand espace commun, assez grand pour sa tranquillité). Super accueil, sympa, pro, convivial. Merci de cet agréable séjour."

There were insufficient supplies like dishwasher tablets, and toilet paper in the room for more than a day or two and the rooms were only cleaned once a week unless you paid a fee. Some of the furniture is showing signs of wear."
