"The property was so beautiful. The staff was also super friendly. The property was hard to find and there was no parking. The town is beautiful but sort of touristy."

"We didn’t stay at the property although we had booked it. It was difficult to find and the signage once we did arrive to the correct place was not clear. On. Pointing this out to the owner he took great offence rather than accepting a little feedback. He accused us of not arriving on time, when no time had been agreed, yet we were there at 4:30pm when arrivals were from 3pm. "Chambre et endroit très propre et calme. Le parquet craque un peu au risque de réveiller les voisins de palier mais c'est ce qui fait le charme de cet endroit. "We had an amazing stay here, with phenomenal hospitality and a beautiful room. The room was clean, big and comfy with a beautiful bathroom, and we had everything we needed for our stay. "This was our best stay during our tour of France and Switzerland. Delphine, the owner left a career in television in Paris to pursue her dream of running a guest house and she does this to a very high standard. We are clearly talking a labour of love here. She has thrown open her house for the benefit of her guests and embraced the project with enthusiasm. "This property is completely incompetent. Don't let their info on their website fool you they are open 2:30-9 to let you in. I came at a responsible time for check in at 5:30, waited 30 minutes and no one to let you in. Of course they are not accountable for not being there to let you in. They want to charge you for the fact you couldn't get in to stay there. It is very hard to find, took 3 different GPS methods to find it, then when you found it gates closed with chickens squaking at you."

"The castle is in a beautiful spot. Close to the vineyards and Saint-Emilion. We were in France for 12 days and this was our favorite part. The Patio room is absolutely beautiful! "

"Considering it is a place out in the country, with no stores or cafes nearby. I believe there should be some coffee/tea and especially water in the rooms. It was a very warm few days (over 90 degrees F/30 degrees C) and there was no water provided, and there were no glasses in the bathroom. The internet does not work well and I had to teach an online class which could not happen. Do not expect to connect to the internet. "

"Positives - pleasant location. Room fine. Clean and tidy. Negatives- not as advertised. No bar, deli, swimming pool, garden, tables and chairs, or atmosphere. We discovered on arrival most facilities were closed because of change of ownership. So if you plan to stay soon, be warned…currently not what it says on the tin! A 5 mile drive for something to eat in the evening was the last thing we expected. "

"My wife and I stayed overnight whilst travelling South. What a fantastic location exceeded only by the welcome. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was something really special. If looking for somewhere special in the Dourdogne look no further. Cannot recommend highly enough. "

"The people were the most incredible, friendly, helpful and kind host that we've ever had. There was sometimes a little difficulty finding restaurants as it was a very remote area and they even offered to have supper for us. "Had a great one night stay here. When we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly manner and were soon offered two bikes to explore the local area. Despite this being a bed and breakfast, we were offered an evening meal. The proprietors made changes to accommodate my pescatarian diet. "Camille and Max were fabulous hosts at this hotel. Assisted with multiple requests. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the village. The restaurant does a beautiful lunch which is not to be missed. Best decision of my trip was to stay here to experience St Emilion. "

"The lady at reception was fantastic and the room was clean but the heating had stopped working so it was freezing cold. By the time I realised the heating wasn’t working the reception had closed. If the heating had been working it would have been 5 star for a stopover on a long journey with my dog. "

The perfect mix of old world charm and modern faci

"What a wonderful hotel. The exterior walls are original but everything inside is apparently new from 2020. So, you get modern electrical, plumbing, HVAC. The floors don’t squeak, the furniture is new but with old world charm. The perfect combination. The staff was friendly and adept at speaking English. The restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced. "

"An AMAZING beautiful hotel conveniently located in prime area. The entire staff was POSITIVELY the best!!! I can not say enough good things about the entire staff. From the moment we stepped in to the lobby we were catered to as if we were Royalty. They were so accommodating and helpful. I have stayed all over the World and spend at least 100 nights a year at hotels and the Hotel Pavie staff is at the very top and of my list!! The Restaurant is fabulous and if you can get a reservation it is a must do. I can not wait to return."

"Loved this hotel, it is right in the heart of St Emillion and it gives you. the opportunity to really explore the town on foot. There is parking at the hotel (if you book in advance which I would as parking in St Emillion can be challenging) which was a real bonus. Room was lovely, bed was super comfortable and the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again if visiting St Emission."
