"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Royal Oak. Food can be ordered in the evening until 8pm and the menu is extensive and good value. We received a friendly welcome at this family run inn. The full english breakfast was delicious and included in our room price which made it very good value. The bedroom was large with a fairly new ensuite shower and toilet. There are woods across the road where we walked our dog. 15 mins to Durham made it perfect for our needs. I am sure we will return. The parking is on the street outside the front."

"I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. "
