"Three days before leaving the UK we were contacted by the owner's agent saying we had to leave a large € deposit (now increased). I offered a credit card but they would only accept a cheque or cash. Appealed to owner who agreed to reduce but still had to leave a large amount in cash. Owner pointed out it was in his conditions. This is not communicated in the booking and I eventually I found it hidden, in French, in a sub menu, under House Rules, on the UK website. On departure we had to get to...

Plenty of bikes of all sizes, for exploring the safe, traffic-free country lanes, while surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers. ...
