"My stay at La Saudade was a very pleasant experience. The hosts are kind and interesting people, you are steps from the very charming town of St. Peray (which has infinitely more going for it than the other ‘wine towns’ in the area). Enjoyed a lovely dinner at La Ruche, and was told that the nearby Auberge is also a fun family destination. La Saudade is the embodiment of a lovely chambre d’hotes - clean, unpretentious, interesting old home, and is also personal and memorable! Recommend!"

"The traditional dwellings had been beautifully renovated. Lovely pool, and easy-going hosts who were happy to provide us with things that made our stay practical and comfortable - apart from soap and toilet paper which we had to provide. Location is very remote and this takes time to access other places, but also adds to the charm of this very special spot. Other guests were quiet and respectful- a lovely vibe!"

"Pour qui aime se plonger ds l’ambiance du passé comme moi , le séjour ne peut être qu’excellent, original, presque avec une pointe nostalgique pour la simplicité d’antan ,oui j’ai un certain âge alors l’antan de mon temps. "This old building has been converted to an attractive and comfortable gite, with excellent views from the garden. It's a long way up the hill so quite cool. Hard to find the right building as we did not have adequate directions. The giveaway is the owner's name on the cover for the electricity meter on the wall alongside the road.
