The property was amazing. But you really have to understand you are floating on the water and the property is constantly moving. Bring warm clothes for cool nights and mornings.

Beautiful resort - don’t miss it!
A truly fantastic place. A wonderful setting, with excellent rooms and so, so relaxing. Great spa facilities and such lovely staff across the resort. Catering for so many people meant some of the dishes were slightly westernised, but totally understandable. Would 100% recommend this place. Also, some genuine commitments to sustainability which is fantastic as without nature, this place wouldn’t exist.

Very good.
Very good stay, beautiful hotel and rooms. The restaurant is also good. Massage very expensive, then I don't expect to have to lie on the sweaty towel of a previous customer, really a no-go. Furthermore, this resort is definitely recommended!

Amazing place, so beautiful and tranquil. Rooms are spacious and very clean. A great range of activities available through the resort or can take boat to pier and get a cab there. Property has bikes you can use to get around between this and sister resort. Great breakfast buffet, restraunt serving good food and drinks all day.

A very exciting and unique experience!! You are taken to the hotel on a long boat and the entire hotel is floating on pontoons. Rooms are very nice, large, and they each have their own balcony right on the river. The food in the restaurant was very good which is important since there are no other restaurants. You can take the boat back to the dock and visit many places for the day including the bridge over the river Kwai.

Luxury at affordable rates in a unique location
Fantastic place, definitely worth the (long) drive up the River Kwai. We only spent 1 night due to a tight driving itinerary — self-driving works well in this part of Thailand — but could have stayed 2-3. Very relaxing place, more things to do in the area and at the hotel than we had thought. Had we known that you can reach the hotel by longtail-boat, we would probably have left the car somewhere and transferred to the boat. Like this we were just woken up by the boat traffic on the river — the only notable downside of the Float House. Anyway, we warmly recommend this place to everyone who likes luxury at affordable rates in unique locations!

We spent two nights at the Floathouse River Kwai. Our room was stunning, and we spent hours on our deck, enjoying the peaceful beauty of the river. From check in to departure, every staff member we encountered was courteous and strove to make our experience memorable. The food in the restaurant was excellent (we ate there 5x). The Floathouse offers many different excursions and activities, but my favorite times were spent just sitting on the deck, enjoying the sunshine and watching the river. The sound of the river moving under our Floathouse was soothing and the bed was super comfortable. For an incredibly unique experience, I highly recommend Floathouse River Kwai.

mattresses are so old and saggy. pillows are too high and thick. If the resort willingly replace new mattresses and softer pillows, it is a great place to get away from the noisy and crowded city on the weekend

Cool little experience here. Breathtakingly beautiful waking up directly on the river to sunrise each day. Lots of river sounds at night, roosters early in the morning from the local villages. Rooms are cleaned really well. For food the Thai dishes are delicious - recommend the fresh fish! Don’t expect much from the western dishes, which is the same for all of Thailand. Lots of little day trips to do in the local area, or just float down the river.

We stayed two nights at the Floathouse hotel over the river Kwai. It was a great experience overall. The hotel room has appropriate facilities as advertised. There was no pool but you can take a quick walk to the sister hotel Resortel to use the pool there. The environment was very quite and calming. The river Kwai is so beautiful when it rains. A variety of activity can be done but you have to pay additional fees for most of them. The restaurant has a number of menu (both Thai and Western food) and the taste was above average I would say. The staff were friendly and helpful (shoutout to Tony!). All in all, we enjoyed our stay there and would come back when circumstances met.

Meilleur hôtel que j’ai pu faire en Thaïlande. La tranquillité du lieu est incroyable ! J’y suis allé en voyage solo pour faire un break lors de mon séjour après un passage à Bangkok, aucun regret. Je n’ai jamais pu autant déconnecter! La vue de la chambre est superbe et le trajet pour aller à l’hôtel nous ferait croire dans un film. Le personnel de l’hôtel est à l’écoute et à même offert pour le jour de la saint Valentin des roses à toutes les femmes. C’est un petit geste qui est très apprécié. Le petit déjeuné est copieux et le restaurant dispose de pas mal de plats. Si je dois repasser dans la région je n’hésiterais pas à y retourner.
