"We stayed two nights on a trip to the Sand dunes… It was centrally located in Crestone, convenient to the market and coffee shop. Would stay here again. Not fancy, perfect for a Nice peaceful getaway. Beautiful views, you can’t beat Crestone. Be mindful there are stairs and grass to walk-through upon arrival. We very much enjoyed our time there. "We had a great time at this VRBO- it was super close to Salida and about an hour outside of Cañon City which meant we had plenty to do! The decor was beautiful and very well maintained. I’d say the only drawback was that we had some difficulty sleeping with the unfamiliar sounds of the road nearby and the heater kicking on/off. The flood lights near the entrance were required to stay on at all times and the coverings on the door were sheer so light was still let into the space. Other than that...

"The Birdhouse was a great place to getaway in the quirky town of Crestone. Place was clean and we were glad to have a place to cook a meal with Crestone being closed everywhere on a Sunday. We would definitely stay again "

"The best thing about this property is the upstairs porch. Wonderful views of the sunset and so many stars at night! The owner of this property pays a lot of attention to detail. Coffee and filters are provided as well as tea and a little dish of mints when you arrive. There was also a separate electric kettle, which was a nice touch. The place smells brand new and they were individual bottles of shampoo, soap, conditioner, etc. if you’re going to Crestone, stay here if you can!"

"Their were coins left on the night stand, telling me that this place had not been cleaned too well. Our neighboring unit connected to our wall was a bunch of younger people and they were up all night. I literally mean all night, never went to bed and played music and talked and yelled all night. I sent vacasa a text asking to send someone to help them adhere to the quiet hours of 10-8 and they did nothing. Our one night away was spent getting no sleep at all, very disappointed!"

"Great location, clean, well equipped kitchen, owners very helpful, available washer & dryer a big plus. If you can hack the stairs to get to it, this is a great place for two people wanting to check out the Del Norte area. There's lots to do in the way of hiking & biking without driving far."
