"We have travelled and stayed in too many hotels to count. There have so far been 2 that have stood out in our minds as giving excellent service. The Loch Maree has jumped to number one. Duncan who welcomed us, was fantastic. He surpassed any previous number ones! He could not do enough to help and make sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed. "Beautiful location across from the old harbour. Great for walks in lovely scenery, cycling and beach. Decent restaurant for dinner. A busy Saturday night and a little understaffed. Breakfast was very disorganized despite having to preorder the night before for a set time. Everyone waited for coffee and food (help yourself buffet) also ran out several times. Seems could be easily fixed with some management and planning. Room was very outdated, but comfortable and clean."

"The location is wonderful, but that’s all the property has going for it. I have never stayed in such a dirty house. I had to clean the downstairs windows, so we could see the view. Mould in both bathrooms. Hairs on bathroom walls and dirt. The kitchen is filthy. Front garden fill with weeds. The whole house was dirty. Not a clean picture or mirror in the whole house. "It's far easier to talk about the negatives points of Shorecroft....nothing! We've stayed in holiday cottages for years and Shorecroft is by far the most outstanding. The location and views are simply stunning, Shorcroft itself is fabulous and oozes quality, from the beds and bedding through to the kitchen utensils, literally everything has been thought about and executed to perfection. There was even smoked salmon and Champagne awaiting our arrival. We definitely hope to return, thank you."
