"The property looked great from the website. When i booked a refundable deposit of £150 was requested. I tried, unsuccessfully, to pay this from a different card than the card I booked with. Then I paired with the booking card. When I turned up at the property there is no reception, no staff, the place was deserted. I called the phone number to get my check in details to find the deposit hadn’t been taken and I still had to pay it. It took almost an hour in total to check in. The property is lovely, well equipped and clean. My deposit was held for 2 weeks until I contacted the property again and requested its return. Apparently this property is under new management. They have very unusual way or running a business. I will NOT return to this property."

"The hosts were welcoming and friendly. My room clean and comfortable. If you wanted to walk it was approx 5-10 mins from the town center so accessiblity to shops, pubs , restaurants etc was reasonable. Many thanks "

"The bar is very small and closes early - we were exhausted so certainly wasn’t an issue for us and the restaurant was a decent size. Meal was good, great selection of drinks, room (spitfire) was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The young lady (owners daughter?) served us in the evening and the following morning very efficiently and competently so thankyou! Breakfast was included , very tasty and perfect size. First time staying here and I will stay again "

"Very cozy and beautiful country setting with remarkable gardens. We took many meals from the on-site restaurant (we were without a car), and the food was outstanding. I recommend having a vehicle for supplies and activities unless you’re looking for a quiet retreat in the countryside. "

"I didn't receive any instructions for self check in until I called the letting agent. The property is dark and dingy. It smelled damp and was cluttered with unnecessary furniture (large sofa foot stool, 4 armchairs, 4chairs, fridge freezer & non working fridge, for a double room). The decor is very worn with signs of damage. The carpets are stained. The external area was very overgrown with weeds. The TV remote didn't work and there was no TV ariel connected. The undercounter lights flashed on an off at random. When I checked under the bed before leaving I found clumps of dust, showing it hadn't been vacuumed for some time. Parking was extremely tight for my car with only one space for 2 rooms. On my last night I was unable to park in the allocated space."
