"Spent a week there with family and dogs. Very clean and everything you could need The views are beautiful. One thing to note, if you take a dog make sure you have long leads and a torch, as nowhere enclosed to let them off before bed or first thing. Both bathrooms are en-suite as well as opening to the corridor which was a peek we didn’t expect. The perfect place for a relaxing family trip and highly recommend. "

"A short break at half term for the grandkids. Very nice accommodation. Heating tolerable for Nov but turning the thermostat up had little affect. The setting of the lodge is excellent. Nice walks and views. Thankfully the weather remained dry even if it was overcast. Would recommend this lodge and helpful owner. Lots to see/di in the area. The nearest shops are Keswick which is a drive away so buy before you arrive. The kids liked the Puzzle museum in Keswick and going out on Derwenter Water...

"We had a great stay using this as our base to explore part of the Lake District, easy access to lakes and many fells in one direction and to vast beaches a short drive away in the other direction. Loved the jacuzzi bath to relax in after a long day walking. We found the stairs to be steeper than we are acustomed to and also smaller treads, but a good hand rail for support when going to bed with tired legs. Wifi struggled a bit on occasions with demand when trying to stream something on TV and...

"Overall it was lovely but had minor quibbles so 4 star. not 5. Remote control for TV worked poorly. Outside table had broken leg and left unrepaired. Attention needed to back on front and back borders which had begun but not finished. Drinking mugs were unpleasantly heavy and large. Felt a bit end of season! We would however come again and recommend it to friends."

"Very pleasant and spacious barn and exceptionally well equipped. Lovely and clean, and in a great location close to all the village amenities and several historic properties, as well as to some wonderful walks. A particular feature is the open plan lounge which has skylights that make it feel very light even on dull days - and the badger feeding was great fun! The only slight snag was the parking as it is a real squeeze to get two cars into the garage. The large layby on the main road was a good...

"A lovely little home in a quiet village. Comfortable and clean. Bed and sofa comfy. Everything you needed was supplied. Communication with the owners great. Pub in the village nice and does good pub grub. Thank you"

"The cottage is so homely and had everything you needed! Definitely a home from home. Hot tub was a fantastic edition. We also used the pizza oven one evening. Both bathrooms had powerful and hot showers. The host was very attentive and responded within hours of sending a message. Location is just picture perfect, with Ennerdale Water a 2 min drive away with plenty parking. There isn’t much else to do, other than walk at the lake, it was very quiet and peaceful. "The property was lovely, and clean. A great location with good amenities. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor which was a bit tricky for us staying with young kids and not mentioned in the information, and the on street parking availability on the street mentioned nearby was really limited, but we travelled on a very busy school holiday weekend. "My friend and I stayed here for a few days and we had a great time. The apartment was super clean, really modern, spacious and comfortable and just the perfect place to go back to after a long walk. It’s near loads of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops in a great location with nearby parking provided by the host. Steve was quick to respond to any messages and queries we had. Will definitely be going back!"

"When we arrived our original accommodation was no longer available due to essential work going on. Hotel upgraded us to a de luxe room with lake view, and gave us 7 days of full English breakfasts, all at no extra charge. Excellent staff! Friendly and approachable. Made every effort to turn situation round. "

"We booked this hotel as a last minute break away. The reception, bar and lounge areas were lovely, clean and relaxing but the bedrooms are looking abit tired and were clean.The hotel did inform us and there were photographs of what the hotel will look like after the refurbishment which is due to start in 2025 on display. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive. "
