"We booked here for 2 nights, but only stayed an hour, as we were upset about the poor animals living on the 'farm'. Nothing wrong with the rooms or the swimming pool, but the poor horses & donkeys are kept in awful living conditions. One horse had a huge wound on his leg, which was oozing with puss & covered in flies. The horses are very thin, with prominent ribs. The donkeys have no fresh water, only a green slimy area. "Positives were that is was very quaint, beautiful view from balcony, excellent bed, and excellent food. Negatives were bees in the room and narrow roads to get up the mountain. It is located in the mountains about 15 minutes from Lake Como."
