"Really beautiful place. Beautifully furnished (not IKEA!), totally nice bathrooms. Location is absolute heart of Sarlat - but up on the second floor - so you could hear the (summer) crowds below, but be “above it all” - very fun while making dinner for ourselves :-))! No a/c, so needed windows open - and it can be noisy - but for us, part of being in Europe! Well equipped kitchen (tho add ice cube trays, salad bowl). And be aware they charge an add’l fee $85 for linens (tho good quality linens)....

"This was an amazing place to be. Right in the old city and the parking provided was perfect. This place was within 5 minutes walk to restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries. All the bedrooms were well provided and a very impressive kitchen. I would love to be able to come back for another stay and will have no problem recommending this place to my friends. It was very helpful to have the property manager right nearby."

"We thought this place was wonderful. The living/dining room was well appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed. There is a balcony looking over the ruins of the nunnery and the town. Bed and bath were very nice, and I appreciated the washer. Caroline was helpful, and brought peaches from her garden: delicious. One caveat: 2nd floor means "climb 2 long flights of stairs"."

"Splendid apartment in a decent location. The apartment block was very quiet. The style was unique as you can see from the photos, but very comfortable. Electric shutters all round made nights sufficiently dark and quiet. Ginette & Claude were lovely and extremely helpful, going above and beyond in explaining everything about the apartment and general area. We managed to get through the communication problems caused by my poor French."

The balcony was lovely to sit out on even with the road being directly below, we had all five of us sat there chatting on a few occasions. "This appartment is extremely well located near Sarlat and within the vicinity of many interesting places. Friendly, discrete hosts that were at our service when needed: we missed a hairdryer (which was mentioned in the house description) and they immediately solved that. Appartment was very cool which was welcome with day temperatures of +35°C. Only downside: the appartment is very damp (known to the hosts) and the mechanical ventilation does not entirely solve this."

Shower head needed some tightening, flopped all over the place."

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
